Jonah was awaken with his phone ringing. The bright light making Jonah groan along with his phone.
"Hello," Jonah answered his phone without looking at the caller ID.
"Hey sweetie, is Corbyn alright? He hasn't answered my messages or phone calls since yesterday," he heard Mrs. Besson say.
"Corbyn's not with me, Mrs. Besson," Jonah said confused.
"Jonah, love, it's alright. I'm not mad at him. I just want to make sure my baby is alright," she laughed over the phone.
"Mrs. Besson, I promise you he's not here. I haven't seen him since we talked after school," Jonah confessed.
"My baby boy," Mrs. Besson whispered, panic rising within her. She knew something wasn't right. She felt it since last night but brushed it off. Her mother instincts had kicked in. But she knew Corbyn and Jonah weren't in the right terms so she thought that was it.
"Let me see his room real quick. Maybe he snuck back in last night," she said as she made her way towards Corbyn's room.
"Baby," she knocked on the door. "Corbs you in there sweetie," Mrs. Besson said.
She turned the knob and walked in. Her eyes landing on a letter immediately on Corbyn's bed.
She walked towards it. Her blue eyes that matched Corbyn's scanning the paper.
Soon, Mrs. Besson let out a scream, a sob followed after.
"MRS. BESSON! Is everything alright?" Jonah said as he scrambled out of bed and put on his shoes. Not caring that he didn't have a shirt on.
He left the house running towards Corbyn's house. It was only two houses away. His family following after him as they noticed that Jonah looked worried.
"Mrs. Besson?!" Jonah yelled as he opened the door to the Besson household.
He heard sobs coming from upstairs causing him to run upstairs. His family right behind him.
"Mrs. Besson?!" Jonah yelled as he fell to his knees beside her.
"What's going on?" Carrie asked as she and her husband walked in.
"He's gone. My baby boy is gone," Saskia sobbed.
"What?" Jonah asked.
"He committed," Saskia let out a sob as carrie gasped. A hand over her mouth. Her other son.
Jonah sat there in shock.
"No," Jonah shook his head. "He can't be, no," Jonah denied as they looked at him. Tears clouding his eyes.
"Baby," Carrie whispered as Jonah stood up.
"No! He's not gone! He can't be! We never made up! We were suppose to be best friends til the end!" Jonah yelled as tears ran down his cheeks.
"Oh my god! He wanted to talk to me after school. It's my fault! Its all my fault!" Jonah yelled as he pulled his hair.
"Son," his dad whispered.
"HES NOT GONE!" Jonah yelled as he ran out the door.
No one chasing him. They knew he needed some time.
And Jonah ran towards the cliff. And another break down went down. Corbyn's phone was on there. Jonah turned it on. Messages from his mother, dad, Ashely, and Jordan appeared immediately. He put his birthday. It opened. The background was a picture of Corbyn and Jonah. Corbyn on Jonah's back as they smiled at the camera.
Tears ran down Jonah's cheeks.
"I let you down Corbyn, I'm so fucking sorry"
