Athena POV...

"Both your dresses turned out way better than I thought," Sebastian said, looking at me as he picked my hair to look bigger and sleeking my edges down.

"You did all of this in a day, I'm impressed," I said. The dress he designed for me was a Jessica Rabbit inspired dress that captured every ounce of my curve that my ancestors bestowed upon me.

"How is she?" I asked.

"Well, she's conflicted," he says, looking down at me before turning back to my hair.

"About?"

"That everything won't go as plan," he says before stepping away from me, "perfect," he said in awe.

"Trust me she has nothing to worry about," I replied," I have everything under control she has to play her role, I know King Zapphire will go against my wishes, that's why I went through the library and read the claws of Brittney's entire bloodline. I realize it was flawed, and as Brittneys's friend, I have to ensure she knows the truth."

"Is that why you left in the middle of our makeup session?"

"Of course," I said, looking back at my reflection.

Seb stepped back and looked at me, "Absolutely beautiful, your beauty is one of the most unique. I cannot wait until you are crowned queen."

Gretchen, the maiden that overseas the venues of each event entered the room, "Please Sebastian tell me that she's ready, everyone is waiting we must enter the ballroom."

"Relax... She's ready."

"Please, Princess, follow me."

I nodded my head, "will I see you?" I asked Sebastian.

"No, I'm not allowed, I'm a commoner."

"Yes you are allowed, and you will be at my side throughout, please hurry and get ready."

"Yes, princess," he smiled at me, before bowing, "I mean Queen."

A smile lit up my face, Gretchen opened the door, leading to the ballroom where I stopped in front of royal blue drapes.

"Are you ready?" Gretchen asks me.

I released a sigh and nodded my head, "The great Athena is nervous a second time in a row, you have killed, broken bones ran away and stopped a war, and this is what you're nervous about, pathetic kinda ish human," He said mocking me.

"You forget I was never the one who stopped the battle with Apollyon; it was Nyx who controlled my body, Mr. I don't know who I am," I said, mocking him.

Before he could respond, the trumpets were blown, alerting everyone that they were finally going to introduce me to everyone.

I looked at the clock to see that it was 9'o'clock, "You should go now before you change your mind," Alec said, trying to calm my nerves. The drapes parted for me to walk down the flights of stairs that welcomed me with a blonde headed person that I have been longing to see, we both stood facing each other, while another pair of gold and red drapes blocked us both from view from everyone.

"Remember head up, chest out," I whispered.

Gretchen's voice broke through silencing everyone, "Kings, Queens, Princes, Princesses, Royal Advisors, Royal Administrators, Royal Duchess, Royal Heirs Royal Heiresses, former Royal Advisors, Former Kings and Queens a pleasant evening to you all. It is finally that time we have been waiting for the reign of a new era. A new Queen that will be ruling side by side with Prince Marcus. And a woman that he has yet to torture or caused to go permanently bald," she made a pause as everyone laughed at her joke.

"Please help me to introduce these beautiful individuals that I have watched matured, welcome our new Heir to the throne Athena Ambrosia princess of Helix and her Royal Advisor Brittney Young."

We were still facing each other when the gold and red drapes were drawn back to reveal us to everyone, we both turned around to face everyone, as they stared at us in shock, a howl broke loose in the ballroom when Alec leaped through the open windows.

He slid across the tiled floor; people were ready to attack him when he broke off into a fast sprint towards me up the stairs and stood at my side tall and mighty.

I ran my hand through his fur as everyone gasp in surprise, "Remember head up, chest high, you're practically royalty now," I whispered to Brittney, I took her hand in mine as we walk down the flight of stairs in short strides.

"You couldn't let me take all the glory, could you?" I asked Alec.

"Of course not, I am your Royal Protector slash transportation. There's no way I would let you take all the glory, and besides, I think I caused the biggest shocker of the night."

"Cocky now, aren't we?" I asked.

"Well, I did get it from you," He said back to me.

There were three thrones placed side by side on the top of the balcony above us overlooking the crowd; King Zapphire sat on the largest made out of gold and gems, beside him sat his daughter and mother?

I furrowed in confusion because I had no idea she would be here the way she was looking at me could never be expressed in words, it was as if I was the scum of the earth, but beside them stood Hekate mouthing to me 'smile'   I nodded my head in understanding. I broke eye contact with her and broke out in a smile as my eyes locked with Marcus standing at the front of the crowd waiting for me at the end of the staircase.

Beside him stood Micheal with a smirk on his face, when I was at the bottom.

I watched as Micheal took Brittney's hand away from mine to dance, leaving me, Marcus, and Alec standing as everyone waited in anticipation, "Your glory is short-lived," I said to Alec.

"Touché," Alec said before he bowed his head and stepped aside and waiting for me to finish my dance.

"I guess that leaves only you and me," Marcus said.

"I suppose," he dug into his pocket and took out my ruby necklace and dangled it in front of me.

"A little birdie said I should give this to you," he said before he put it around my neck I touched the ruby taking in the familiar smoothness of it, "may I have this dance, my lady," he said holding his hand out for me to take while talking in a fake medieval accent.

I curtsied to him, "Yes, kind sir," I said back in my medieval accent. I place my hand in his for him to take it as he guides me to the center of the crowd that formed a circle around us, the light dimmed down and shinned on both Marcus, Micheal, Brittney and I.

He pulled me into him as he ran his hand down my back while I placed my hand on his shoulder, and he took the other, and the second they were joined, and our eye's connected everything in the room disappeared, and we glide across the floor in sync.
