Marcus POV...
"How did she manage to do all of that without moving an inch from my side?" I asked her.
"Her entire life she has always been powerful, before her birth she had shown signs for being a powerful being, she's been through a lot in her journey, but maybe if I didn't take away her memory of who she was she'd probably know her entire destiny."
"What do you mean?" I ask.
"I promised to protect her no matter the cost I just didn't think the cost would be her, but you don't understand if you both don't get to her," she lowered her voice to a whisper, "Apollyon will, she is not herself," she turns to me, "if you cannot reach her he will and he probably is after her right now as we speak."
She grabbed my finger and pricked it with a needle, she threw a black powder on the ground and it formed the entire map of Canada. A droplet of blood fell on the map, "there that's where she is," she said pointing.
"Why is she so close to the US border, who is she going there to see?"
"The last person she interacted with was Viperina, and you know your sister and this isn't the first bride to be she'd try to hurt, except this time the table has turned and she wants revenge for whatever Viperina tried," Micheal said.
"You both need to get to her," she started to chant the air in the room changed and a shiver went down my spine, "Micheal I put a spell on you for whenever she tries to touch you she cannot take your power away from you," he nodded his head.
With one wave of her hand, the portal opened," this will lead you straight to her," Micheal was the first to step through and when I was about to go through the portal she grabbed onto my shoulder, "your hesitant."
"Of course I am she's rejected me multiple times how am I going to get to her?"
"You're going to use your powers."
"What powers are you talking about?"
She looked at me as if I had three heads, "you don't know, you inherited both your grandfather's and your father's powers you're stronger than both of them combined, did you think it was a coincidence Athena is your mate?" She asked rhetorically, "Nothing is coincidental."
She touched my chest, "something isn't right," she furrowed her brows, "have you ever cross paths with a witch before?" She asks me.
"Other than you, no, wait I did come across this woman a few years back called Ivy, it was a few years after I met you and I really don't remember much after that."
"It's not that you don't remember much, it's just that she had something to hide, please allow me to undo what she did," I nodded my head, "I just need for you to understand that what I'm about to do will hurt you tenfold," she didn't wait for a response instead she grabbed my head and the burning engulfs my body, I could hear her chanting but after some time everything was tuned out and all I could feel was burning and the echoing of my screams bouncing off of the walls.
The burning spread throughout my body and soon I felt nothing she stepped away from me, "Marcus, you will be a little unstable I need for you to breathe slowly so you can gain control."
"What did you do to me?"
"You should be gaining back your powers and your memories of what happened why she hid them in the first place."
I started to blink and it was as if the memories were flying around the room and soon everything made sense, "I have always had the powers I chose to hide them from my family because if they knew about it they'd want to use them just like Viperina to eradicate all the people who appeared to be humans but had powers beyond this world."
"Then my job is done, you need to leave before the portal closes."
I nodded my head to her, "thank you, for reminding me who I really am."
"No thank you for protecting the gifted, now continue what you were destined to do."
I was confused as to why she thanked me for a group of people who were massacred when my grandfather was king, I nodded my head and stepped through the portal. I looked back at her and the look that she gave me was one of pride.
"About time man," I turned to come face to face with a sign that said 'WELCOME TO WINNIPEG.'
"Of all the coldest place she had to choose this one," I picked up her scent, "she's close by, we used our vampiric speed to get us closer to their whereabouts.
Apollyon POV...
He sits on his throne waiting for the right time to offer her the final deal one that he knew he would get what he wanted, his nails dug into his chair. He inhaled the air, it was soft but he could hear his name being whispered in the winds.
"Do you think it is time?" His beast asked him.
"Almost," he said back in his mind link.
"Will we be the one going, I've been ready for a fight."
"No, not yet."
"What are you waiting on she's vulnerable?" His beast asks him.
"She's not vulnerable at least not enough I intend on breaking her, but not yet, I want her to have the world just to have it snatched away."
"Mmm. You want her to find love?"
"She already has."
"Love can make one do stupid things," his beast started to cackle.
The door to his chambers opened, "You summon me, master?" Edward said.
"Do you remember the last memory you had with Athena before I took you?" Apollyon asks.
"Of course master, how could I forget," Edward said it with such hatred, that his will was no longer his own, his wolf within him was dormant he had tried to pull for him to the surface, but the command of his wolf was no longer for his but for Apollyon.
"Good make sure after everything plays out that she remembers everything from the night you disappeared to the very beginning, she may love another but you are who makes her vulnerable," he ran his finger down Edward's face, "and please do not screw up this time or else I will have you head," Edward nodded in understanding.
"I will not master."
