"Athena," my body felt limp, "Athena!" I could feel my limbs twitching, and my heart goes into overdrive, yet I could not move.

"Athena!" I snapped my eyes open and jumped up.

I was in the middle of the field, I ran my hand through the grass to see if it was real. The greenness of the grass was the brightest I have ever seen, I thought as I ran my fingers through leaves.

Beyond the fields I could see a building, slowly I walked towards it before picking up my pace and running towards it feeling a weird rush of excitement yet anxiousness.

When I was finally at the front of the building it was a battle arena. I walk through the gates and I could hear chanting, the sound of swords clanging against each other, screams and cry of men and women.

Where I was entering from the growl of lion ripped through the air causing me to pause for a second. The opposite gates facing me opened up revealing the lion.

The lion sprinted towards his prey with blood dripping from its fur and mouth and ripped the man to shreds.

The other contender took it upon himself to grab his sword and flee. Trying to climb the walls to the stand when he was almost successful someone pushed him back to the ground.

Beside me were a sword and a bow and arrow grabbing them I push the gate open everyone within the stands turned and looked at me before bursting into cheers and questions.

"A woman is going to fight?"

"A woman has never been in a battle before."

I clang the sword against the gate trying to get its attention, and when I did he looked up at me with hungry eyes. He was obviously was not fed for a few days.

"Quiet this is our new contender, Athena!" The man stood up from his black throne, "will you survive this battle?"

The lion lowered itself as it watched me, looking for any of my weaknesses before sprinting towards me, I stayed still waiting for my open and when he was close enough I moved out of its way causing him to crash into the metal gate.

I ran towards the man and helped him up, "put your hand over my shoulder," I slung his arm over my shoulder and walked him over towards the gate and to my surprise, the man turned towards me pushed me back and closed the gate.

"Every man for themselves."

"I helped you!" I yelled at him.

"And that is your weakness," he said before walking backward and disappeared through the gates, with a sinister grin on his face.

When I turned around the lion shook his head bringing himself back to reality. It looked around the arena before setting its eyes on me.

"Think," I whispered to myself, he lowered his head getting himself ready to charge after me, "Wind," I tried to command the element, I looked up to see the man staring at me to see what I was about to do, "wind" nothing, tightening my grip on the sword, I got myself ready, the cheering from the stands got louder as they realized that my odds of survival were low.

The lion released a rawr before sprinting towards me, I tightened my grip on my sword. At that moment all I could hear was my beating heart and the cheering crowd before I tuned everything out and focused on my breathing, I swung the sword forwards before yelling, "WIND!" The lion went flying crashing right beside the man sitting in his throne.
