Brittney POV...

Sitting in the main Royal library I was going through every book but it feels like I couldn't figure it out I pulled every book that spoke about ceremonies. I knew I was wasting time, it was nearing for when Marcus would be expecting me to call with the answer and an update on what's going on with Athena, but everything was quiet.

"Just show me a frigging sign!" I yelled, my voice echoed through the halls of the library. A gust of wind blew a book off of the shelf. I walk over and upon doing so a light breeze came from behind the bookshelf.

The Guards walk by me, I nodded my head at them, they arched their brows knowing that they couldn't disrespect me anymore.

I place the book where it fell from and the bookshelf slid back and a flight of stairs comes into view, "Go ahead I will be right behind you if you need cover,"  Alechimus says.

The structure of the staircase was old, they were carved into the wall of the castle. Tracing my hand across the wall, and with each touch, the wall illuminates showing me drawings from the dawn of time. The wall on the right told the story of how vampires came about and on the left side was the history of the werewolves. The door to the entrance of the staircase slammed shut when Alechimus stood beside me. I tried pushing it but nothing.

"Alechimus, I don't think we were to ever find this."

"I believe you are right," he says.

I walk further and the images on the wall start to move almost as they were playing out for me, I slowly walked and took in everything and now I truly understood that history only tells the side of its victors.

The werewolves and vampires weren't how they are now. Werewolves during this era were just humans with very heightened animal-like senses, and reflexes they followed and learned from the land and animals specifically the wolf and they called themselves the Wolf Clan

The vampires drank blood from animals, they hunted them like prey and this was where they got their strength and speed from and they called themselves the Vorous Clan. While the Vorous Clan stayed stagnant with reproducing, this, in turn, threatened them. The two groups lived by a code that they would not cross on each other's land without permission and this was how they kept the peace.

The Vorous Clan grew tired of the peace, they grew tired of watching them multiply while their land started to dry up, and quiver, while their soil became malnourished and turned into sand The Wolf Clan land flourished with crops and animals of different species.

The Vorous Clan had to come up with a way to get enough strength to be able to take down the Wolf Clan. At first, they started to steal from The Wolf Clan crop, they needed more no they required more. They started to kidnap the young of the Wolf Clan and mask both them and their victim's smell with various herbs and the blood of ogres. While the Wolf Clan blamed the ogres for the kidnap of their offspring the Vorous Clan grew healthy and strong from the flesh of their prey.

In the dead of night when everything was silent. The Vorous Clan attacked them slaying everyone who stood in their way, this war lasted for years, with each victory The Vorous Clan would feast on their victims.

While this was happening two pairs of lovers grew tired of watching their loved ones being slain. They cried to the moon goddess and ask for their pack to be given the gift of unimaginable power and strength to overcome The Vorous's wrath. The moon goddess granted their wish only if they could provide a proper sacrifice within three days.

On the third day, a Lunar eclipse appeared darkness cast over the lands and they created a fire and slit their wrists, and started to chant the words the moon goddess told them to. They decided that they would sacrifice their human forms and this was how their werewolves form was born. When the full moon appeared that was when the Wolf Clan were at their strongest, they slew their enemies with their bare hands but soon their human form began to change to that of a beast, intensifying their powers. They ripped their enemies with vengeance, and without remorse.
