Third person p.o.v.
When Damon said to be at the grill, Arabella did not expect Elena Gilbert to always be there. She didn't have anything against the girl, it's just that Elena has feelings for Damon that she refuses to acknowledge. Arabella has to hear both sides to a story before she judged them, but it was kinda hard not to make Elena responsible for leading both brothers on.
Arabella walked up to Elena's table and sat down in one of the chairs. Elena looked up from her book and smiled warmly when she saw the Salvatore Sister. They weren't close and had only met one time, but Elena was hoping to become friends with the vampire.
"Hey Arabella," Elena says, her doe eyes locked onto Arabella's light brown eyes.
"Hello Elena. So, I hear that you have outsmarted my dearest older brother? Nice one." Arabella says with her signature smirk plastered on her face.
"Your not mad, are you?" Elena says with caution laced in her voice.
"If anything I'm impressed. And disappointed in my brother for falling for it."
Elena lips curled up a bit as the two girls laughed a little. Arabella was tough and guarded, but she had a soft side too. Elena could see that. Arabella just puts up her walls so high, showing that she's been hurt as well. Arabella was about to say something else until Damon suddenly appeared next to Elena.
"Speak of the Devil" Arabella muttered.
"Thank you for the kind words, Bella."
"Your welcome," the brunette vampire replied with a happy, sarcastic tune.
"What do you want?" Elena asked Damon, annoyed that he was bothering her.
"So this is where you spend your time when your not stabbing people in the back."
"I tricked you into telling me the truth. That's not stabbing you in the back. That's using your own Tactics against you," Elena retorts back at Damon.
Elena then starts to pack up her stuff as if she's leaving. Arabella stayed quiet, not wanting to interrupt the lovebirds and their happy moments.
"I've made myself clear, Damon. I want nothing to do with you." Elena says as she rolls her eyes at Damon.
"Ok. See you at Jenna's barbecue." Damon says looking away from the doppelgänger, eating a French fry that Arabella now just notices. She then reaches off to grab a fry, but Damon smacks her hand away. Arabella scowled at him as she flipped him off with her finger. Elena turned around to see this interaction, causing her to smile a little before going back to what Damon said before.
"How did you know about Jenna's barbecue?"
"It was my idea. Jenna went to high school with Mason Lockwood so I figured a social gathering would be a good way to get to know the guy. So, I told Ric to tell Jenna-
"Does Jenna know that your going to be there?" Arabella interrupts him from his spectacular speech.
"Yeah, she's not exactly a fan of yours." Elena says to Damon. A blonde woman appears with a while box and puts it on the table in front of Damon.
