Camryn had left with Christopher and her parents the day before (Friday.)to go visit her grandmother and I had nothing to do with my life. I spent my Friday night and Saturday morning staring at my ceiling. I had gotten so used to having Cam around 24/7 that I felt totally and honestly hopeless without her.

Around 12:47 on Saturday,I decided to go to the mall and shop till I literally dropped. I got into my car and drove to the mall.

I got my mom that new Prada purse that she had been meaning to buy. I got Cam more gray and black sweatpants cause God knew that she would be too lazy to do it herself. After going through different stores,I checked my phone and found out it was 4:38 in the evening.

I made my way out of the mall, into my car then drove back home.

Well...that was what I expected to happen. Three minutes after,my car decided to stop right in the middle of the road which I found strange because the 2019 Jaguar I-pace wasn't meant to be having engine problems when it was still relatively new. I got out of the car then opened up the bonnet before looking into it. I honestly had no idea what I was looking at.

After calling my dad to let him know that my car had stopped working,I got out of the car, started walking and was about to call our chauffeur to come pick me up when I heard a horn blare beside me. I looked up and  my eyes locked with those of a decent looking guy with dark hair.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"I would be asking you the same question. What a pretty girl like you doing standing here all alone?"

"Um,my car." I said to him.

"Come on and let me drop you off."

"That's not necessary,but thanks."

"Oh come on. I insist." He persuaded.

"You really don't have to." I insisted but he wouldn't take no far an answer.

"Don't worry. I'm not gonna bite." He said as he stepped out of his car.

"She said she not interested." A deep voice called from behind me.

I spun around and saw none other than Daniel Butler walking towards us.

"Who are you?" The guy asked rudely.

"That,is none of your business." Daniel replied with his trademark poker face intact.

"What are you doing here?" The dude asked.

"She called me to come pick her up." He stated cooly.

"I don't believe."

"Yeah well, unfortunately,I don't have to prove myself to you. Let's go." He said the last part to me before snaking an arm round my waist and walking us off in the other direction.

"How did you know I needed a ride home?" I questioned.

"I saw your car a little while back and it had the bonnet left open. Then I found you with that ugly piece of shit and your phone out. It was pretty obvious you were about to call someone." He explained as we approach his car.

"Well, thank you." I said to him.

"It's cool...you do know that this doesn't mean that we're friends...right?"

"Still wasn't counting on it." I assured him as I climbed into the passengers seat.

Ten-twenty minutes later, he pulled up in front of my house.

"So...bye." I said uncomfortably.

"Yeah,bye."

As I was getting out of the car,the front door swung open and my father stepped out followed closely by my mother.
