"Ah! Camilla!" Celine yelled after my dad's driver had pulled up in the school's parking lot, basically tackling me to the ground after I had come out.
"I missed you too CeeCee." I laughed, patting her.
"Ugh, I missed you so much." Aphrodite groaned, smushing my face while she pouted. I noticed Lory was keeping her distance and-as if that wasn't weird enough-she had on a face mask and gloves.
"Do I want to know why that is happening?" I asked.
"You know Lory's auntie, right?" Athena asked.
"Yeah."
"Well, she showed up at her house on Sunday night for dinner. After a while she asked Lor why she hadn't showered and Lory was like 'we don't do that here'-"
"I was obviously joking." Lory interrupted.
"Can you not interrupt me?"
"My bad."
"Anyways, her aunt showed her a picture of a boy who forgot to wash behind his ears." Athena finished.
"His ears used to be here." Camryn said, pointing to where her ears where.
"So Lory has been germophobic since Sunday." Brianna commented.
"Although she didn't show up like... that on Monday and Tuesday." Hera said with slightly raised eyebrows to show her distaste as we walked through the parking lot.
"Where's Luce?" I asked, adjusting my blazer.
"She went to grab breakfast in the cafe." Camryn informed and I nodded.
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Leon on my far left, already looking at me. He stared at me for about three seconds before smiling and turning his attention back to Austin.
"Guys!" Susan yelled, dragging her backpack onto her sweater clad shoulder, all but tripping over her feet as she speed walked over to us.
"Whoa, slow down." Aphrodite chuckled as she came closer to us. Lory took it upon herself to sanitize Susan's hands.
"There's goss!" She squealed.
"Oh, goss. Spill."
"Mrs Field's boyfriend dumped her last night just after she proposed!" She rushed.
"How do you know?" I asked, shifting my bag from one shoulder to another.
"I heard from Britney who heard it from Sidney who heard it from Logan who's neighbor's cousin's girlfriend saw it all go down." Her expression suddenly turned serious, "You didn't hear it from me." With that, she skipped into school.

I put the tray into the oven to let the cupcakes bake before going over to mix the icing 'cause no one likes muffins.
I added an extra drop of pink food coloring and mixed it in then I froze.
I turned to my right and saw him standing in the doorway with the world's biggest pair of scissors.
"What are you doing?" I asked carefully.
Daniel just shrugged.
"Why are you in my house?" I tried again.
"Came to say hi." He stated simply.
"You came to say hi?"
"Yes, I did. You don't have to be so scared." He scoffed.
"I'm sorry. I mean, it's not like you came into my house unannounced with a huge pair of scissors."
He looked down at the tool in his hand, "I actually have no idea why I have this."
