"Right?! I can't believe their actually doing this!" Tiffany yelled.
"I thought we had gotten rid of them for good." Ryder added.
"Oh come on. They aren't that bad." I tried to reason with them.
"Camilla Bourgeois. The forever optimist." Camryn commented.
"They actually aren't that bad." Samuel, one of the basketball players agreed.
"You're just agreeing with Cam cause you have a crush on her." Cole spat and Samuel's ears turned red.
"Wh-What? No I don't." He denied and a series of sarcastic 'sure's echoed round our table.
It was the third week after resumption and during the first period, there was an announcement that by the next month,we would go back to wearing our uniforms. In my sophomore year, majority of the student had their parents write out letters to the school suggesting that they get rid of the uniforms and they did. We all thought that we had solved the issue regarding uniforms but, clearly,we were mistaken.
"Ugh. I can't believe I'll have to wear those ugly skirts." Cam grumbled. She hates wearing skirts normally but the fact that the skirt was popularly known as ugly just made it worse.
"Oh come on. Don't be that girl." I teased and bumped her shoulder with mine.
"How are you so happy about this?" Susan, another cheerleader, questioned while shoving a fry in my direction.
"I never said I was happy about it but being mad won't change the fact that this time next month,we'll be back to our...not exactly flattering uniforms." I explained.
"Are they that bad?" Taiye,a pretty Nigerian girl who transferred here at the beginning of Junior year, asked.
"Oh honey,you don't even know."

There was absolutely nothing better than mint chocolate chip ice cream. No really,I'm not even kidding. That thing is basically the sweet and addictive version of heaven. That was why I always ordered it whenever I came to Tracy's ice cream parlor.
After placing my order,I sat on one of the bar stools and went through my Instagram feed. And then it happened. As soon as they stepped through the door, everything and everyone stilled. Every single head turned in their direction. Even the air had enough decency to stop blowing around and soak in their awesomeness.
Leon stepped through the door first. He gave off the impression of being effortlessly cool. His messy brown hair looking, dare I say it,panty droppingly sexy. Behind him came his four best friends. You hardly ever see one without at least one other member of their tight group. Come to think of it,the only time I had seen Leon alone was on the first day of school after I had gotten Cam a new pair of sweats to change into.
As soon as he laid eyes on me,his always-there smirk grew. He turned to face his friends and said something along the lines of 'That's her." he nodded in my direction before walking towards me.
"Mille! Long time no spoke!" He exclaimed enthusiastically while ruffling my hair.
"First of all,did you really have to mess my hair up? And secondly, when did the nickname start?" I questioned.
"First of all,yes I did have to mess your hair up. If I didn't,that would make me a horrible friend. Secondly, the nickname started...about thirty seconds ago." He stated.
"Sure Leon. Just go ahead and don't introduce us to your pretty friend." One of the four boys said with a roll of his eyes. My order was placed in front of me.
