Do you have any idea what it's like to feel like your insides are being twisted around a sharp blade?
No?
Well then,it obvious you've never had a period.
I stopped keeping track of it months ago because I was very irregular. I even miss a whole month every year but I knew it was coming when I drove 7 miles at nine o'clock in the night to get one mango.
"Camilla, are you sure you'll be okay on your own?" Camryn asked, taking a bite out of Cole's toast while the latter glared at her.
"You've asked her that seventy times already." He pointed out and Cam turned to face him."I wasn't aware Camilla was a synonym for Cole." I rolled my eyes at the two.
"Yes Camryn,I'll be okay."
"But you've never missed a day of school before. Ever." She pointed out.
She was right. I had never missed a day of school.
Heck,I'd go on Saturdays if it wasn't technically trespassing.
Which was why I had gone in the morning to write my name in the register because the thought of having a stain on my perfect attendance record was choking me.
Plus my mum had already told the authorities why I had to leave school.
"I'll be fine. I have Dorthy to keep me company." Dorthy was the German maid my parents hired to assist me when I was six but she had been away on leave to take care of her sick mum up until last night.
"Can you stop eating eating my toast?" Cole asked and Camryn gave him a look.
"Don't tell me how to live my life." With that, she took another bite out of his toast. "Beside, you should be thanking me. God knows you could do with losing a couple hundred pounds." She eyed the bowl of coco pops in his other hand.
"You know, anyone can criticize." He stated.
"Yeah, but I'm really good at it." She took a spoonful of yoghurt and put it in her mouth. Cole eyed her cup of yogurt before leaning over to take some and Camryn immediately glared at him.
"If your spoon enters the gravity of my cup, you die."
"So, Joseph popped the question, right?" I asked, trying to find a comfortable way of bending my body on my bed to lessen the pain.
"Yup. I've got myself a boyfriend."
"Ohhh. Camryn's got a boyfriend." I sang, poking her stomach with my index fingers and she rolled her eyes at me.
I was pretty surprised Joseph had asked her even though I knew he liked her. I loved my best friend and all but Lord help them poor son of a gun who married her. She was great. Really great. But I'd be praying for him.
"You know what else I've got?"
"Pimples on your butt." Cole stated, staring at Camryn smugly for about five seconds before turning around and running out of my room.
"He was smart to run." She said and I laughed which later turned into a groan.
"I'll be back as soon as possible." She promised, stroking my hair.
"Don't worry about me. What else have you got?" I asked, referring to what she had said earlier.
"To be in class in the next...sixteen minutes." With that, she grabbed her PINK bag from beside me then paused, staring at me with narrowed eyes, "Are those my sweatpants?"
"Maybe." Since the only bottoms in my closet that were un-skirt or un-dress like were two skorts, one short and two rompers, I 'borrowed' one of her cargo sweatpants
