The moment the bell rung, Camryn and I rushed out of our English class and almost ran into Hera, another girl in our friend group.
"Hey, gorgeous." I greeted, bumping her hip with mine.
"Hey yourself." She chuckled.
"Ooo, Hera. Love your sandals." Camryn snorted, eyeing Hera's ugly, brown sandals.
Hera was the exact opposite of her sister, Aphrodite. She was also very different from her other sister, Athena. Hera was what you could call a 'hipster'. She had on those ugly sandals, a strange crown thing and earrings - both made from wild flowers, a disturbingly bright yellow, woolen scarf with neon pink balls, a weird polyester dress and she reeked of incense but at the end of the day, she rocked the look. She was also one of the most amazing people in the word.
"Are they leather?" I asked and she looked at me like I was crazy.
"Of course not. What kind of person do you think I am?" She was also very, very vegan.
Before I could reply, everyone in the hall paused.
I swear it was like something out of the worlds's most cliché movie.
From the left side of the hall, Leon Anderson and his four best friends walked in. Heads held high with annoyingly attractive smirks plastered on their faces, giving head nods to the guys who they felt deserved it and coy looks to the girls drooling at their feet.
From the right side of the hall, Daniel Butler strutted in - because God forbid he walk like us normal people - with his four best friends. Unlike the first set, these boys had people jumping away, avoiding eye contact like the fate of the earth depended on it.
"Hello brother." They said to each other without stopping, passing themselves by.
Yes you guessed it. Leon and Daniel were brothers-step brothers to be exact- and had hated each other since the dawn of time.
.
.
.Nah, I'm just messing with you. They've just been less than friendly ever since the day Leon's mum got married to Daniel's dad.
"Well...that wasn't dramatic at all." I stated sarcastically before continuing our journey to the cafeteria.
"Is it just me or did they get hotter?" A girl who was beside us asked before looking at the front door that Leon had just passed through, making Cam roll her eyes at her.
"They say that every time they see them." She pointed out.
"I'd lick their abs." Hera shrugged.
We walked into the cafeteria with girls going on and on about how they would kill to run their hands down Daniel's abs and how they could make out with Leon's lips for all eternity.
After Camryn had gotten a chicken salad - making Hera gag - and I got sweet potato fries, Cam and I walked over to the table where our brothers were sitting with the rest of the football team and the cheerleaders and Hera decided to sit with some of the other girls in our friend group on our table.
"Hey Cam and Cam." They greeted as son as they saw us and we waved at them.
"Hey sis." Camryn's brother, Christopher (Christopher and Cam were twins just like Cole and I which was one of the things that made us fast friends.) said.
"Sure Chris. Just go ahead and act like I don't exist." I said.
"Aww is little C feeling left out?" He asked mockingly while ruffling my hair.
