Forest
Hiccup and Zephyr are walking through the forest. Hiccup is looking at a map.
ZEPHYR: Are you sure you know where we're going?
HICCUP: Yes! It's just that I haven't been here in... well, almost ten years.
ZEPHYR: (looks around) It's beautiful here. Are you sure you know where we are?
HICCUP: Yes! Well... no.
They stop walking. Zephyr frowns.
HICCUP: Okay! I'll admit it, we're lost.
ZEPHYR: (sighs) I guess it really is an adventure now.
HICCUP: Yeah, I guess so.
ZEPHYR: Should we go back?
HICCUP: No, like you said, it's an adventure!
Zephyr laughs. They continue to walk.
HICCUP: (stops suddenly) Wait! I know where this is!
ZEPHYR: You do?
HICCUP: Yes! This is where I first found Toothless!
Hiccup runs down the path.
HICCUP: And then I followed his tracks... here. (Hiccup points to the ground) That must mean the Hidden Cove is right over... (Hidden Cove comes into view) here.
ZEPHYR: (gasps) Wow!
HICCUP: Wow....
ZEPHYR: It's... beautiful!
HICCUP: It looks a lot different from the last time I saw it.
ZEPHYR: Well, you haven't been here in ten years.
HICCUP: (smiles) Yeah, I guess you're right.
Awkward amount of silence.
ZEPHYR: How do we get down?
HICCUP: Well, (walks over to the edge) if I'm correct the path down should be right—
The ground underneath Hiccup gives way. Hiccup falls.
ZEPHYR: Dad!!!!
Zephyr runs to the edge and peers down. Hiccup has landed on a rocky outcropping below.
HICCUP: — here. (looks up at Zephyr and smiles)
Zephyr breathes a sigh of relief. Hiccup helps her down and together they enter the Hidden Cove. Zephyr gazes around in wonder.
ZEPHYR: (whispers) This is incredible!
Zephyr grabs Hiccup's hand.
ZEPHYR: Show me!
HICCUP: Show you what?
ZEPHYR: Everything!

Later....
HICCUP: (points to two rocks) Now, this must be where I left my shield. It got stuck between those two rocks.
Zephyr stares at the rocks. There is no shield.
ZEPHYR: Where's the shield?
HICCUP: Probably rotted away.
Zephyr and Hiccup keep walking.
HICCUP: (points to tree) This is where Toothless sometimes slept.
ZEPHYR: How?
HICCUP: Well, he slept upside down, like a bat.
They stop walking.
ZEPHYR: (takes Hiccup's arm) Do you miss him?
HICCUP: Who? Oh, Toothless?
Zephyr nods.
HICCUP: Yes, (sighs) all the time.
Hiccup stares at the tree.
ZEPHYR: (sits down) I wish we still had dragons.
HICCUP: (sits down beside Zephyr) Well, it wasn't safe for dragons. The world wasn't ready to accept them-
ZEPHYR: I know, I know, but I still wish we had dragons.
HICCUP: Well, you've seen dragons before.
ZEPHYR: When I was four years old! I don't remember anything.
Zephyr picks up a stick and fiddles with it.
ZEPHYR: Honestly, dad... I think Berk is... boring.
HICCUP: Boring? Why?
ZEPHYR: People do the same thing everyday. They wake up, do their thing, go to bed, and then wake up the next day and do it all over again. Nothing changes!
Zephyr throws the stick into the lake.
HICCUP: (gently) And you think dragons will change all of that?
ZEPHYR: Yes! Well... I guess... I mean.... (sighs) I don't know.
HICCUP: Zephyr, everyday there's something different. You just have to open your eyes to see the differences.
ZEPHYR: (shrugs) I guess.
HICCUP: (pats Zephyr on the shoulder) Come on, it's getting late, we should be heading back.
Zephyr and Hiccup stand up and start walking back home.
