Something shifted off of my bed causing me to wake up. "Huh," I grunted, looking around though my eyes were blurred.

"Shh, V, go back to sleep," Zagan whispered from the door. He then left, and I laid in silence for thirty minutes before deciding to go to training. Maybe I'd work off whatever funk I was in.

I pulled my hair back into two different french braids and changed into leggings and a shirt.

I headed out of my room and down to the training room quietly so that I didn't wake up any of the other girls. No doubt they would be sleeping in right now. Definitely not up at 4am in the morning.

I poked my head into the training room once I got down there. Reyna was standing near the door so I said, "Mind if I join."

She jumped about three feet in the air. "Don't scare me like that and sure, 5 laps. You have an extra for scaring me, but nice to see you."

I smiled and nodded, heading over to the track. Zagan's back was turned to me as I started my laps. By the time I was on my last lap, I was sweating quite a lot and knew that I really needed to train more if I wanted to stay in any kind of shape.

I guess I wasn't paying close attention to what I was doing by my last lap because I hit the end of the track and ran smack into someone standing right in front of me. "I didn't know you were coming in today," Zagan said, smirking, but also having a worried look in his eyes. "I thought you went back to sleep after I left." I ignored him and found myself staring at his bare chest, which was eye level for me. "I can always put on a shirt," He said, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"We've trained like this before," I said, rolling my eyes, "And as to the sleep thing, I'm fine. It's been worse before."

Zagan sighed, but nodded as Reyna and Clarisse began to call us over for conditioning. After that we did some shooting, and I ended at the punching bag with Reyna while Zagan and Clarisse sparred.

Reyna picked me up off the floor after she had knocked me to the ground. "You're rusty."

"Are we shocked?" I teased, stretching out and waving goodbye.

Zagan caught up to me in the hallway. "V, are you okay?"

"Yeah, never better. Why?" I asked, continuing to walk when I realized how pissed my maids were going to be.

"Nothing, just try and get some sleep tonight."

"Deal," I said, turning into my room as he continued up another flight of stairs.

I went inside and met my maids all just sitting there looking slightly annoyed. "If you get any more spontaneous I'm going to start locking your door at night." Paige said. I nodded. "Good to know you can hear me, now come here so we can get you dressed, seems like you've done your own hair today."

I stayed pretty quiet the whole time as they got me dressed. Apparently we were allowed to dress casual today because my maids put me in a simple, pastel yellow skirt, a black and white striped t-shirt that I tucked into the skirt, and a pair of black sandals. Sarah tied two yellow ribbons on the ends of my braids, and they did slightly darker eye makeup today.

I waved to them all as I left for breakfast. It was going to be a good day, I told myself. I was going to get to talk to my almost family and maybe if I was lucky everything would go really well today.

I sat down in the dining hall and soon after Zagan arrived smiling widely. "Good morning girls, you may all be seated. After breakfast, I will be lining you up in a certain order then I will take you to five different rooms where you will meet my family. You will get ten minutes with each member. I hope you enjoy."
