"You got so big lani." Cassie told her as she held her on her waist, she looking like a big baby.
"I know, I'm going to 2nd grade next year and imma be a big kid. My momma said so." I laughed as I put the chocolate covered spoon on her nose and she giggled. She woke me up crying about some chocolate pancakes and being the spoiled brat she was, my ass got up and got to cooking.
"Hey!" She yelled out and I laughed acting like I didn't do that. "Mhhmmmm it taste good." She said touching her nose and licking her finger.
"Come down so you can help me." I told her waving her over to me as I put the large spoon in the sink, letting the hot water soak it.
"Yeah cause you getting too heavy for me girl," Cassie said putting her on the counter before leaning against it, pretending she was tired. She was silly as hell.
"Cause I drink milk." "Where my uncle at?" She asked and I pointed upstairs.
"He's upstairs." The first time that I had witnessed Night, sleep in. He was usually out the door before 2 Am.
"Can I wake him up?"
"I don't know if he's going to like that."
"I'm his favorite niece, he likes everything I do. I'm serious." She said and Cassie started laughing.
"Lani you're his only niece."
"Exactly," she hopped off the counter and I watched her lil' ass run upstairs and then screaming for her uncle to get up.
"Man lani move bruh!" Grumpy grandpa is awake.
"Wake up!!" I shook my head as I left the kitchen and followed lani into my room, seeing Lani laying on Night chest. She was kissing his cheek and they looked so adorable.
"Why you let her do this to me?" He asked and I chuckled as I sat at the end of the bed looking at them.
"Because you needed to wake up,Lani wanna go to the fair." He frowned as soon as I said that and I rolled my eyes. For some reason Night wasn't a fan of fairs and you would never catch him at one. I wasn't the one to bring it up, everytime the fair would come in our area, he would always say no. Lani on the other hand saw the ad on the TV that there was one in New Jersey and she wouldn't stop talking about it.
"Yes yes yes! They have a circus too with big elephants." She screamed waving her hands around to exaggerate the size of the elephants.
"You too lil' fa dat anyways." Night said waving her off and she pouted, crossing her little arms at her chest. "Uh uh, fix ya face." He told her and she quickly dropped her mug making me giggle.
"I wanna go! I wanna go! I wanna go!"
"Alright alright, Lani gimme a few minutes so I can talk to night please.....alone."
"Okay. I'm gonna help Cassie okay?"
"Okay." I watched her leave out that room and close the door behind her. I looked at night who got up and made his way to the bathroom and I followed.
"Why you following me?"
"Because you really not goin' let her go?"
"No Arianna and this the end of the conversation." Now I was the one who was pouting. I hated when he dismissed me like that.
"Well I'm gonna take her because she deserves to do something outside of this house, as well as myself."
"With who car? "
"Yours."
"You a damn lie." He said and I shrugged my shoulders pushing him out that way as I walked back into my bedroom grabbing his keys that were on the dresser.
