Lunch. Lunch. LUNCH.
Its been two hours since Adam's seen Samandriel and his stomach was doing somersaults. Something about Samandriel's blue-green eyes, something in the way he smiled...whatever it was, Adam liked it. He technically only knew him for like an hour (not counting yesterday) but he liked him. He didn't know why.
He finished putting his stuff in his locker, finding Samandriel quickly and walking up to him."Hey friend," he greeted and Samandriel smiled.
"Hello."
Samandriel's smile made Adam smile even brighter, which caused butterflies in Samandriel's stomach.
"Freak," someone whispered right as they shoved passed Samandriel. Adam glared at them and turned to Samandriel.
"You're not a freak."
"I'm about as freaky as it gets," Samandriel admitted. Adam wiggled his eyebrows. "Not like that, you weirdo!" Samandriel jokingly pushed Adam, a light blush dusting his cheeks. They entered the cafeteria and Adam saw Crowley stand up, three people following him like lost little puppies.
"Hello, boys," Crowley greeted in an English accent and Samandriel stood behind Adam, using him as a shield. "Who's the new one?""None of your business," Adam snapped.
"Touchy," Crowley smirked, rocking back on his heels. "Someone's on his man period."
"Just leave us alone," Samandriel said. Adam looked back at him, noticing the fear in his eyes.
"Fine, darlings. But just for now," Crowley raised his eyebrows at Adam, before walking away.
"What the hell?" Adam whispered. "He's weird."
"Very."
"Is he gay?"
"Bi. If anyone makes fun of him, they don't live to tell the tale," Samandriel muttered back.
"You're not like...serious, right?"
Samandriel shrugged. Adam looked back at Crowley, suddenly feeling fear wash over him.
"Um...okay. Let's sit." They found an empty table and sat down. "I'm gonna go get food...if Crowley messes with you-"
"I'll be fine, Adam, go get your food," Samandriel smiled and Adam sighed, before getting up.
Samandriel looked down at his hands, playing with a loose thread on his jeans. It was a habit.
Adam was very attractive, there was no denying that. He had pretty blue eyes, tan skin, a glorious, perfectly white smile and sandy hair-
God, Samandriel, you sound like a girl.
He shook his head, keeping his eyes cast down. He didn't want to catch the attention of Crowley and his groupies.
Adam came back and set his tray down, sitting across from Samandriel."This food looks like shit," Adam commented, prodding the fake chicken with a fork. "I feel like it's going to bite me."
"It's just might," Samandriel replied and Adam looked up at him with wide eyes. "I'm kidding."
Adam smiled softly at the broken boy.
---
Samandriel stared once again at the dark water below him. It was a bit chilly out, not enough for a coat, but enough for a light sweater. He was practically shivering in his short sleeved shirt.
He could jump. He really could, today was the day that he could jump.
But what was holding him back?
