It's been three months since Samandriel's Thanksgiving with Adam's family. He spent Christmas and New Years with Adam's family and friends. Adam was his first kiss of the New Year. Crowley stopped bullying him, more people started talking to him, so he became really happy.

He still sat on the bridge, but not once had he thought of jumping. Adam had changed that. He loved Adam.

His brothers still ignored him. He didn't care anymore. He was happy.
Until his happiness was completely ruined.

He was sitting in his room at home - he rarely stayed there (he was usually at Adam's) and nothing about it was different. He was sitting on his bed, reading some book he was only half-interested in, but he needed to read this book for English.

"I don't wanna read a sad story about a dog that dies," he muttered to himself, flipping the page. His phone rang, so he looked over at it, seeing Adam's name pop up on the screen. He answered the phone. "Hey honey bunches."

"Call me that again and I'll kick you in the balls."

"Okay...what did you need?"

"I called to see how you were doing. I can't talk to my boyfriend?"

"I don't want to read this damn book for English," Samandriel muttered, dog tagging the top of the page and closing it.

"I already finished."

"Did you cry?"

"Man tears."

"Of course. So...what're you doing?"

"Talking to the most amazing person I know!"

"Awe."

"But he hung up so now I'm talking to you."

"Love you too, Adam," Samandriel replied sarcastically, rolling his eyes.

"Hey, um...can I tell you something?" Adam mumbled, sounding scared.

"Of course, Adam...you know you can tell me anything."

"I love you," Adam giggled and Samandriel rolled his eyes.

"I love you too."

---

After school the next day, Samandriel walked home with Adam, their hands between them, swinging back and forth.

"I learned a new pickup line," Adam said and Samandriel looked over at him.

"Bring it."

"You better call Life Alert, 'cause I've fallen for you and I can't get up," Adam giggled. Samandriel laughed, before kissing Adam gently.

"You make me so happy," Samandriel mumbled against Adam's lips. Adam giggled, placing his hands on Samandriel's hips and bringing him closer.

"I am so in love with you."

---

Adam was lying down next to Samandriel, letting the smaller boy play with his hand while he watched Frozen...again.

And that's when Samandriel saw it. It was the right lighting and the right angle and he saw them. Thin pink scars littering Adam's wrists.

"Adam?" Samandriel asked, looking up at the taller boy, who was singing 'Love is an Open Door' to himself.

"Yeah?"

"What are these?" Samandriel pointed them out and Adam pulled his wrist out of Samandriel's hands.

"Just my past."

"And you didn't think to tell me?" Samandriel asked, pain in his voice.

"I wanted to forget about it."
