Hannah groaned as someone jumped on her bed in attempt to wake her up. Wasn't the best plan, considering Hannah wasn't a morning person. Her main goal for that day was to ignore everyone. Which was not that hard since the school was huge. "I'm tired. Leave me alone!"
Eyes closed, Hannah turned the other way and clutched her pillow closer to her chest. "Wake up, it's Christmas!"
With that statement, Hannah's eyes immediately shot open, "Excuse me?" She shot the boy a confused look then scoffed. "It's October, Kaleb." Surprisingly, Hannah had gotten closer to the vampire since the school year started, and apparently now he was making shit up about how it was snowing.
Hannah gave a loud laugh of disbelief, "Again, it's October. Christmas doesn't happen in October." Kaleb begged to differ and opened the window in Hannah's room.
Hannah's eyes widened at the sight of snow. She stood up and walked over to the vampire. "No freakin' way."
Kaleb just laughed at her. "I suggest you get your Tribrid ass outside and enjoy the snow." And with that he left her.
Hannah was sceptical, then started to do the math in her head and ended up with a conclusion. Which was that there was another monster. "It's Santa. Definitely Santa." Hannah mumbled to herself as she put on her uniform. "This has to literally be Santa."
As soon as she left her room, she was greeted by happy teenagers, something that made Hannah groan. "Would you look at that, everyone's in make-believe town."
Hannah groaned and pushed her way through the ocean of students. She tried to find anyone sane but ended up finding no one, even Dr. Saltzman. And she couldn't find Lizzie, which sucked. She was still trying to avoid her sister and Josie, but all that changed when Josie spotted her and walked over to her, a smile plastered on her face.
"Hannah!"
Hannah sighed, and turned around to see Hope walking over, "Hope, please, not now. I'm not in the mood to fight." Hope stopped right in front of Hannah, "Look, I'm sorry, I just need your help right now and then I'll leave you alone for the rest of the year if you want."
Hannah crossed her hands in front of her chest, "Well, that's not a lot of time is it, its October." Hannah deadpanned. "Basically, only two months before the year ends." Hope sighed , "Just, I need your help. Please."
Hannah took a deep breath and thought for a while, "Ugh, if it gets you to leave me alone for the next two months, fine."
The Mikaelsons headed to the cellars where they were keeping Clarke. The sight of him made Hannah vomit. "Wait, you didn't tell me it involved Mud Man Jr. over here." Hannah pointed harshly at Clarke as she spoke. "Well, hello to you, too." Clarke responded with a sly smile.
"You know what call me when it involves stringing him up like cheese because I am not going anywhere closer to that thing." She told Hope as she started walking away. "But you said you'd help me!" Hope yelled after her.
"Not, if it involves Malivore reincarnate." Hannah yelled back, making her way out of the cellars to search for someone decent to talk to.
Somehow, she found herself sitting on the kitchen counter, drowning her sorrows in a bottle of vodka she stole from Dr. Saltzman's office. "For a headmaster, that guy doesn't lock up his office." She mumbled to herself, as she took another sip.
"Ho, ho, ho!" Kaleb greeted as he entered the kitchen. Hannah raised the bottle of vodka in attempt to threaten the vampire. "I'm not in a good mood here, Kaleb, so one more jolly thing that comes out of your mouth better be either where to get a refill or something gorey, like a reindeer's head got blown off, or I'm gonna throw this bottle at you."
The vampire's smile never faltered and raised his hands in defense. "No, no. I was just looking for food. And not blood-" Hannah closed her mouth, as the vampire guessed what she was about to say.
"But what about you, what are you doing here?" Kaleb questioned as Hannah took another sip of vodka. "Oh, you know, the usual, drowning myself in alcohol. Oh, and my sorrows. Oh, and contemplating on the fact that my life is filled with not so trustworthy people." She stuttered, mostly because she was a little tipsy, it was her third bottle.
"Sounds fun." Kaleb deadpanned, grabbing a croissant from a nearby tray and sitting next to the tribrid. "What are you doing?" Hannah asked when Kaleb stayed in his position after a few seconds. "You don't look fine, might as well keep you company."
Hannah gave him a small smile, grateful at the action. "Plus, I wouldn't want anything bad happen to one of the most powerful creatures in this school." Hannah chuckled along with him. "I'm here if you wanna talk, though, I'm gonna listen."
Hannah thought about it for a moment. Kaleb was her friend, a good one at that. They've only know each other for a short period of time but he was proving to be a good friend. Maybe someone worth opening up to, he wouldn't tell a soul whatever she'd say then and there. Hannah sighed, "Okay then, but whatever happens here in the kitchen stays in the kitchen got it?"
Kaleb made a motion as if he were sealing his lips shut, "Whatever happens in the kitchen stays in the kitchen, got it." He offered her a smile, which she hesitantly reciprocated. "Start from the beginning."
After their little chat in the kitchen, Hannah and Kaleb ended up roaming the halls of the Salvatore School, HAnnah still grumbling about the how depressing Christmas actually is and Kaleb, making sure she doesn't start attacking anyone.
Still a little tipsy, since she drank another bottle of alcohol, she stumbled through the halls kaleb as her guide. She heard a voice call out for her, she turned to where the voice was coming from, only to be met with a grumpy Hope and a free Clarke. Hannah charged over to the two with gritted teeth and closed fists, Kaleb quickly following her.
"What the fuck, Hope?" She was ready to tackle Clarke to the ground and beat him up, thank God Kaleb was behind her and grabbed her before she could touch Clarke and wipe his rip off his face. "I swear to God, I'll rip your spinal cord out of your back and make it a necklace!" She threatened, struggling against Kaleb.
"Kaleb," Hope warily said, stepping backwards. "Don't worry, I got her." Kaleb replied struggling to keep the younger girl away from Clarke. "I will snap your neck, rip your heart out of your chest and feed it the wolves!" She threatened.
"That's very Klaus Mikaelson of you." Clarke replied, the smirk still on his face, which made Hannah fight against Kaleb even more. She didn't know if it was the mention of her father or the alcohol or both combined but she wanted to seriously hurt the mud mad at that very moment.
"Let me at him!" She yelled as she kept struggling. "Ahh. I'm going to kill you! Let me go, Kaleb!" Kaleb kept a tight hold on Hannah. "Kaleb, please take her away." Hope pleaded since Hannah was staring to get too close to literally ripping Clarke's face off.
Kaleb struggled as he dragged Hannah away from the Mud Man and h er older sister. "Come on, Hannah. Sweetie, stop fighting, I'll give you a lollipop if you cooperate."
