Hannah groaned as she tried to hold Josie back from physically attacking Hope, it was kind of hilarious. "Josie, it's not her fault. I mean, I did think it was stupid to trap him in here with the possessed samurai."
Hope gave Hannah a thankful smile, while Josie smacked Hannah on the arm. "Ow! I was just being honest."
"Well, that's impossible, how?" Josie asked, her arms folded in front of her. "We thought Raf was gonna pass the 'oni' to someone at the pep rally." Dr. Saltzman walked over to Kuruta, who was dead.
"Kuruta must've been possessed since he did touch Raf when they were fighting." Hannah finished, the man spinning the chair for the three to see Kuruta, who had a slit across his neck.
"The only way for the 'oni' to be alone with Landon and to control him." Hope explained. "Sayonara, samurai."
"Okay, then were would he have gone?" Josie asked.
"My guess is the portal."
"We don't even know where that place is." Hannah replied with a groan.
"Wait, do you have something of Landon's? You could do a locator spell right now." The older man grabbed a bag in his chair. "Um, Dr. S, that's not Josie's bag."
Josie started to rummage through her stuff in her bag on the table, she pulled out a note Landon gave him about Hannah, a few weeks back. Hannah decided to let the two do the locator spell, Josie handed the note to Hope, who inspected it.
Hope and Josie held hands and started to chant.
The three ran over to the town square, where they found Landon's dead body on the ground and Lizzie chained up to a tree. "Lizzie!" Hannah yelled out from afar as soon as she recognized the blonde.
Hannah ran over to Lizzie while Josie and Hope went over to Landon. "Liz, are you okay?" Hannah asked, worried. "No, I am super crazy but at least there's a reason this time." Lizzie's eyes were blood red as soon as she finished what she said. "The demon's in me."
Hannah and Hope were trying to get Lizzie out of the chains, or, more likely tightening them. Hannah couldn't tell which, anyway. Lizzie growled at Hope, which made Hannah chuckle. "Oh, sorry. That is embarrassing. We haven't met yet have we? I'm Lizzie."
Hannah and Hope stepped away from the tree, "I don't understand if the 'oni' is in you then how are you talking?"
"I don't know but I-I feel it in my head, it tried to take over I don't know how much longer I can-" Then something switch within Lizzie, "Nevermind, it's gone. You can untie me."
Josie looked over at Hannah, "I didn't say that. It's still in me. So don't - listen to me, I'm fine. We should probably get out of here before - okay, you have got to stop me, please. Otherwise, this thing is gonna win."
"She's fighting the demon somehow, just like Kuruta did." Hope explained to the two, who were in shock and didn't know what was happening. "I already know that I'm crazy, okay? You don't have to rub it in." Lizzie replied to Hope.
"Kuruta is not crazy, and neither are you." Hannah told Lizzie. "Where's Dad? I just want Dad." Lizzie told them.
"Kuruta fought the 'oni' for years, okay? I you could just give us a little bit of time to-"
"No, I can't live like this anymore. Sebastian isn't real, this whole time, I thought I was better but I've just been seeing things and hearing things and feeling things that no one else does. And it's scary. Scarier than any demon in my head all though that sucks, too." Lizzie cried.
"Liz, it's okay. I know how you feel." Hannah wiped a tear that had escaped her eye, "I don't want to remember. My life was a mess. I hated it. And all though I don't remember shit, I remember how I felt. And I felt empty inside. Trust me and I'll help you, okay?" Hannah tried easing the blonde's pain.
"It's okay, we're gonna fix you." Josie added, the blonde shook her head.
"No, there's no fixing me, Jo. I'm just shattered. The pieces are too small to put back together." Lizzie sobbed, "Tell Dad that I love him but you have to end this."
Josie shook her head, "What?"
"With that sword."
Finally Hope interjected, "Whoa, I know we just met but there is no way we're gonna let that happen."
"You have no choice, we will not stop until you give the boy." It wasn't Lizzie who spoke, "Lizzie? Lizzie, you gotta fight this thing." Josie told her sister.
"Fighting is useless. Malivore still lives and is control over us is stronger than ever. Soon the likes of me will be the least of your worries - distracted during a monologue," Lizzie laughed, "classic villain mistake."
Josie let out a sob and so did Hannah, "Jo, you gotta do this, for me, okay?" Josie shook her head in disapproval. "It's only a matter of time until you kick my ass in the Merge anyway. And this is better than the Merge because in this way you don't have to live with some messed up part of me in your brain forever, driving you as crazy as I am."
Josie turned around, "We aren't gonna talk about that until we have a real solutions."
"Well, maybe this is it." Lizzie started screaming in agony. "If Josie won't do this than you have to." Hannah shook her head. "Lizzie, we'll find another way because there is no way in hell that I'm kill my best friend."
As Lizzie started screaming again Josie picked up the sword, "Jo!"
"There's so much black magic it hurts to hold."
"Probably won't feel much better getting stabbed by it." Lizzie joked. "I could pull the magic out of this, I could get the 'oni' out of you."
Josie tried siphoning the magic, Josie suddenly let go of the sword and got the 'oni' out of Lizzie. After a few moments Lizzie was fine, "You did it. I love you."
"You better." Hannah smiled a little. Then both twins fell unconscious, Hannah caught Josie before she fell down.
