Niall

Elizabeth was starting school in a few days, and although she was still going to be in London, and I wanted to make the best of what we had left of the summer.

"Do you want to go to New York?" I asked her and she whipped around from where she was.

"You fucking nuts, Horan?"

"No, but you love New York, and I sort of bought tickets this morning."

"You sort of bought tickets?" She laughed. "Alright, let me pack." She left the room.

--------

"We hope you enjoyed your flight with United, and welcome to New York City." The flight attendant said as we packed up our stuff and exited the plane.

"Look, Niall, it's New York!" Elizabeth smiled, grabbing my hand. I laughed. We got our bags and took a cab to the hotel. Elizabeth and I both changed before we would go out for the night.

I put on jeans and a Ramones tshirt that I had stolen from Harry two weeks ago. Elizabeth, when she came out, I gasped.

She was wearing black heels and a black pleated skirt with a pale pink sleeveless blouse tucked into the skirt.

"You look amazing."

"It's New York City, Niall, you can't just where anything," I laughed at her as she took a black purse and slung it over her shoulder. She checked her perfectly curled hair in the mirror before leading me to the door.

"You don't usually curl your hair."

"It's New York City, Niall--"

"You can't just do anything with your hair!" She narrowed her eyes and giggled. We stepped out on the streets from our hotel. We walked down a bit, before Elizabeth sighed and looked up with a smile.

"Niall, it's New York!" She giggled, spreading her arms out wide and spinning. "It's positively incredible!"

"Haven't you been here before?" I asked, confused. She knew all about New York.

"No!"

"Shit, Elizabeth!" I laughed and she crashed into me with a hug.

"So, really, you're, like, giving me one of my dreams right now."

"What are the others?"

"We don't have that much time. You'll figure them out soon enough." She smiled with a knowing look, and when she smiled, I could not help but smile, too. She wrapped her arm around my waist, and I threw my arm across her shoulders.

"What shall we do, m'dear?" I asked.

"Let's--HOLY SHIT! BETH!" She shouted running up to a blonde girl that was her height.

Elizabeth

"BETH!" I shouted out as I saw one of my best friends from high school. Her blonde hair cascading to her shoulders, as perfect as always.

"Let's go get a drink." She said, leading me to a bar filled with NYU students, and Niall followed behind.

"Niall, this is Beth. Beth, this is my boyfriend, Niall."

"Hi, so nice to meet you." Beth said to Niall, shaking his hand.

"Babe, I'm gonna grab a beer over there and watch the game." He said to me, pointing to an empty stool at the edge of the bar. He knew I wanted to talk with Beth by myself. I smiled to him, and he left.

Beth and I sat down at two stools at the bar and each ordered a Great Lakes beer.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked.
