Elizabeth

I sat in the family room of my grandmother's house. We had just had a Christmas dinner and were opening all the presents. I was in a chair on one side of the room, and my cousin pulled a beautiful sweater out of a box, and everybody told her how cute it would look on her.

My eldest cousin, Mary Beth, appeared in the doorway. "Hey, Elizabeth, I think another one of your Christmas presents just got here." She said nonchalantly.

Little Meegan came up at her feet. "LIBBY! COME HERE QUICK! THIS IS THE BEST PRESENT EVER! DO YOU KNOW WHO IS HERE? IT'S---" I heard mumbled noises escape her mouth, as Mary Beth covered it right in time for me not to find out. MB cocked her head, telling me to get up.

I smoothed out my navy dress and crossed half of the room. I had absolutely no idea what was going on. Mary Beth and Meegan moved into the family room, out of the doorway.

And who else but Niall James Horan appeared. He smiled.

"AH! NIALL!" I shouted and went to hug him. "Oh my god! What are you doing here?"

"I couldn't miss Christmas!" He said, and I smiled. Everyone applauded for reasons I will never understand, but I was too caught up. I just clutched Niall tight.

Pretty soon, they moved onto the next present, and I took Niall ino the kitchen.

"But how? I thought you couldn't come in?"

"I pulled some strings." He smiled.

"Is anyone else here?" He nodded. "Harry?"

"Yea, he was gonna try to talk to Ali."

"I hope it all goes well." I said. He smiled and pulled out a gift.

I unwrapped it to fin a beautiful pair of black patent leather Louboutins. "Oh, Niall! They're positively gorgeous!"

"Your welcome." he said with pride.

"Who helped you pick them out?" I asked, and his smile faded and he cleared his throat.

"Eleanor."

"Nonetheless, they're beautiful, and I love them!" I gave him a kiss. "Oh! I have your gift in my car, come on!" I took his han and began to lead him outside.

"Darling, please, put your jacket on!" He went to the hall closet and got my jacket, slipping it on. Then, I finally dragged him to the driveway, and straight to the car. I got out his gift, and handed it to him, watching him unwrap.

He took out the green binder and snapback. "What's this?" He asked with a smile on his face, putting the hat on.

"That, is your very own Cleveland Cavs snapback. I can't have you reppin' other cities without reppin' mine! And this is a scrapbook of the summer. It's pictures and memories from the year that's gone by, and your concerts, and yea. I know it isn't Supras or anything..."

"It's perfect." He reassured me, kissing my forehead. "Oh, wait!" He put the hat and scrapbook back in the box, and went to my car. he set the box down and leaned into the front seat, turning the car on.

"Niall?"

"Wait!" He scrolled through some CD's, landing on my Christmas one that had been in. He pressed play and walked back over to me, grabbing my hand and waist.

"Have yourself a merry little Christmas..." He sang along, and I smiled. There we were, dancing in the middle of the driveway, in the snow.

I hugged him tight. He stopped dancing and looked straight into my eyes, and his blue orbs shone back at me. He smiled. "I hopelessly, endlessly love you, Elizabeth."

"And I love you, Niall." He smiled even wider and leaned down to kiss me. I closed my eyes, drinking in the beautiful, most perfect moment.

Ali

"Yes, dad! I'm right outside the house!" I shouted into my cell phone. I had gone to the market to pick up some Pepsi for dinner. It was dark and snowing, with only the streetlights lighting up the world.

I went to go to the back of my car to get the pop out of the trunk, when I noticed a dark figure standing on the other side of the street.

I walked to the end of the driveway, and the figure came to meet me. He sang, and I heard Harry's vocals sing into the night.

"Christmas night, another fight, tears we cried a flood. Got all kinds of poison in, of poison in my blood. Took my feet to Oxford street, tryna right a wrong. Just walk away those windows say, but I can't believe she's gone."

"When you're still waiting for the snow to fall it doesn't really feel like Christmas at all..." I sang, but he continued the entire song and certain lines always stuck out to me.

"I always loved you, darling, and I always will." He sang, and all the way to the end of the song, "Those chrismas lights, light up the street, maybe they'll bring her back to me. May all your troubles soon be gone. Oh Christmas lights, keep shining on..."

I shook my head. "Harry, please..."

"Ali, I just took a ten hour flight to Chicago, and two hour flight here, in the snow. I thought and re-thought and went over the last few days and the summer and absolutely everything else in my head, and I figured something out. I honestly cannot live without you. I knew that before, but you must understand, that I'm not willing to give up on you so easily. I can't do that. I will fight for you until the day I die.I'm not giving up on what we have."

"Harry, I want you to know that I never did give up, but it's a lot. For you to be away, and me being here. I don't see you often and--"

"You're scared and you want me by your side. You need me for support. I know you, Ali. I know that you want and need all that, and I need it, too. You're the one who holds me together most of the time. I can't let you go. I know you're scared, and I want to help you with that. I will. Please."

I stared into his green, pleading eyes. I had really hurt the kid. I could never believe someone would love me as much as to come halfway across the world to tell me. I was so wrong about all of this.

I leaned in and kissed him. "I'm sorry." I said, and I was sorry. I never apologized unless I meant it.

Harry definitely was a strong person for being with me. I was almost always falling apart, and I never even tried to show it, but Harry knew how I felt just by looking at me, and he was special. I loved the guy, I really did.

"Merry Christmas, love." He said.

"Merry Christmas, Harry." I smiled.
