As the days passed the two Baker children got closer to the glasses wearing boy. James have grown very fond of Richie. From Kelsey's perspective this new frendship could rival James's and Stanley's.
They all had hung out a lot with the Losers Club, as the two days had passed. She had just put down her younger brother, currently her and Richie were doing the dishes, which had came a routinely thing as he stayed with the girl. "So your dad should be back tomorrow?" The black haired boy asks looking to the girl, she nods, as she puts away the freshly dried dishes.
"Well from all the other times, he always came back after two to three days. Always coming back as if it was just a normal day, nothing had h-happened before he left," The pinkett's voice got softer and softer as she put away the last dish.
"And the weeks go on as usual you know?" With a giggle she turns around her voice changed into a chipper one, as if to say she hadn't just said something completely opposite to that tone before.
"Why do you let it go back to normal?" He asked. In this time he was sleeping over, they've talked about so many sensitive topics. To where now he felt as if they could talk about anything, at any time.
With a shrug she answers, "It's easier, easier for James, my dad.. and somewhere down the road I know it will be easier for me too," the two teens walk to the girl's room, both grabbing a beer for themselves.
"From everything I know about you, it's not easier for you. You need to talk about things to figure them out," the boy quickly corrected her, as she sat in the corner, him gazing to her from the girl's bed.
She shook her head, more in a questioning way, almost as if she was weighing something on either side of her head. "I guess that's true, but I remember when my mom used to confront him about his, outbursts-" her voice paused for only a moment, before she decided to label her father's temper tantrums.
"What happened?" Richie looked to her in question, taking a swig of his now opened beer.
"He used to act like he didn't know what she was talking about. Then they would get in to an even bigger fight," the girl confessed, playing with the liquid in her bottle.
"Fine fair enough, if that he what he does to you now. I don't want to see what he'll do if he gets even more pissed," the boy admitted.
There was a moment of silence, the boy looked as though he was contemplating an idea. "Why do you let James kept in the delusion, his dad's a hero, and not a fucking super villan, like he is!" His voice raised as he stood up, almost immediately he sighed, and sat infront of the poor girl, who was cowering again.
The boy had not yet gotten used to the girl's sensitivity of different tones, and volumes when it came to voices. "I just don't see why you don't tell him?" Asking in a more polite tone, as their brown eyes meet.
"Why do I keep a little boy in the dark?" She countered with a scoff. "Because everyone does, think about it,-" she changed her position so she was now sitting crisscrossed, her torsi leaning closer to the boy than before. "every parent tells their kids stories about Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and so many more,-" she informs, before getting cut off.
"Woah woah woah Sugar Tits, you can't tell me the Tooth Fairy isn't real. I saw Eddie's mom in my room every night when I lost a teeth," the boy jokes, causeing them both to give out a small chuckle, before she continues.
"Anyway, parents do these things to keep the wonder, the hope, and the child like dreams, in their eyes," she spoke with a gleam in her eyes, just like a mother. "That's why I let him think his dad is just that. Everything a dad should be, not just a father, but a dad one who is loving, caring, a provider," a smile formes on her face as she dreams about this great father figure she has, dancing around her young mind.
"Why don't you just turn him in, or just leave?" His voice gives off as if it is the most logical option.
"Yeah and leave James, you must be out of your goddamn mind Tozier," Ending with a chuckle, taking a sip of her alchohol.
"Okay don't leave him, I'll pack up a bag for him, you get a bag for you. Then run, where do you want to go!" His voice excited, reaching out and holding the girl's smaller hands in his own.
A giggle escaped, as she grasped on to the boy's hand lightly. "Okay I'll humor you, let's say I do,-" closing her eyes as she thinks. "I'd go to England, far away from Derry and everything. A whole new world, that I can mold in my grasp," Opening her eyes, as she squeezes his hands, getting excited herself. The feeling of being a child came flooding back from her days of being a young child. To when her mother was there, her father was a little more im the picture than he is now.
"What's do you want to be when you're older?" Gazing in to her eyes, a touch of love shown.
"Performing, I've always wanted to be able just, play with people's emotions,-" the black haired boy gave her a questioning look. The girl jumps a tad, relizing how weird that statement came out. "-N-no like, god this is gonna sound weird no matter how I say it. Like to be able to move someone with your performance is amazing, and takes so much talent," with a dreamy smile she lookd to the boy.
"You know your cute when you smile at me like that," He speaks with a smirk. The girl gives a soft giggle, leaning back unlooping their intertwined fingers.
"Thanks, but that's all just a dream, I'm probably gonna stay close to Derry. You know be miserable, kinda like Eddie's mom," they both laugh, the boy ruffles her hair.
"Glad you're catching on to the Eddie jokes," he smirks, she gives off a giggle.
"What bout you Tozier, always talking about leaving. How you gonna leave this shit hole?" Taking another sip as she asks.
"You going to England? Well since we're gonna be married, I'm good for England," smirking as the girl gave a small laugh, and a shake of her plae head.
"Aww come on you get all this forever, sounds nice to me," smirking leaning in close to the girl. They could both feel eachothers breath on their faces.
"Ehh, it does sound good, care to give me trailer for the main event?" she smirks back as a blush stays her face. She represses it however, not wanting the boy to win.
"I-i u-uhm," falling helplessly over his stutterting words. A deep blush on his face. Without thinking his hands press their palms over each of her cheeks. He leans in gently kissing her lips.
The girl stays still shocked, she registers what's happening, and kisses back. His lips where rough and dry, fitting in to her soft ones. He pulls away eyes wide, "Fuck Tits.." his voice trails off as they look in to each others eyes. The girl smiles, a blush evident on her cheeks.
"You kinda ruined the moment Fish Eyes," she said with a giggle. Her eyes gaze to her clock seeing it's nearly eleven. "It's getting late," she sounded almost like a mother.
"Yeah, and you have a child to take care of in the morning Mama," he caresses her cheek with his thumb.
"Is that a new nickname?" She wonders, quirking a brown to him.
"Don't like it? I think it suits you well," speaking matter of factly, taking his hands away, crossing them over his chest.
Giggling she gets up, the boy following after. "I didn't say I didn't like it Tozier," smirking she turns, coming in contact with the boy. Patting his chest she smiles, "You should get to sleep, good night Fish Eyes," speaking softly she gently presses her lips to his cheek, before leading him out of her room. Letting him go back to his spot she had let him sleep on the past two days, which was the couch.
