After fiver minutes of running as fast as I could, I'm at the bottom patting. Jason still holding onto my back, excited and yelling that we won. Richie being only a couple seconds behind me, let me claim the victory.
"Wow, that was awesome Kelsey!" Eddie exclaims soming up to me, patting my shoulder, as a way of congratulations.
Stanley soon comes over, lifting Jason off of my back, and on to the ground beside me. "That was amazing Kelsey, not only did you beat him on your feet, but also with Jason your back," smiling to me, as he rubs my back, helpping the air come back into my lungs.
"Okay sweet cheeks, I went easy on you, next time it's on though," Richie warns beside my figure, pointing a finger to me.
"S-s-stop l-l-lying R-Richie, you went f-full out," Bill argues back, beside Beverly, who is beside Ben.
"Bill of course I went easy on her, what kind of future boyfriend would I be if I let her loose?" He looked to the taller boy with a duh expression, however his face being beat red fun how fast he was going down the hill, told us all another story.
"U-um we should probably get going now," Ben speaks from beside Bev, nodding we all agree.
James comes bouncing up to me, "Can I ride with Stanly?" He says with excitement.
Gazing over at Stan, "I don't know bud, how about you just-" before finsihing the boy in question perked up.
"No it's okay, he can ride with me Kelsey," his smile was genuine as he took James sitting him on the back of his bike, before getting on himself.
Smiling I begin to get ready to walk along side the two. "Your chariot awaits my mami," looking behind to see, Richie off his bike, he's in a bowing manner.
"I'm fine, thank you though Richie," my voice soft as I reject him.
"Oh come on, we'll get there faster, plus you still look worn out from running," the glasses wearing boy argues back, before my rebuttal Bill chimes in.
"He's r-right Kelsey, i-it's just better o-overall," his kind voice makes my give a soft pout as I walk to him.
The smirk on his face as he gets on his bike, scooting to the front part. Sighing I swing my leg over, my butt resting on the rest of the seat. "You honestly have no idea how scared I am right now," my voice soft, as I mention my fear.
"Hey don't worry sexy, daddy will make sure you're safeand sound," his voice sounds as if he's playing a character.
"Beep beep Richie!!" Everyones yells disgusted.
Immediately gagging as I push myself away from him. "Nope Eddie make room," as I'm about get off Bill intervenes again.
"K-Kelsey stay, R-Richie stop b-being fucking d-disgusting," with that he rides off Ben leading the way to his house.
Groaning as my arms wrap around his stomach, squishing my body to his. "Don't say it," stating harshly, as he begins to peddle.
"I didn't say anything!" He whines protest.
"You were thinking something, in that perverted little mind of your's," I counter.
Groaning as he follows behind everyone, after a little of biking we made it to Ben's house. "One sec!" The boy who lives at the house says before he dashes into his house, leaving us all waiting for hime to return.
"Okay you all can come in," he says after we had to wait for about threw minutes. Taking James's hand we all begin to walk into the house and to his room.
"Hey, I'm sorry you had to ride with Richie," Stanley apologizes behind me, shking my head as I respond.
"No it's okay, I'm just mad Bill wouldn't let me ride with someone else," ending with a soft chuckle, I walk away not meaning to be rude, but to explore the boy's room.
Going up to one of the many walls covered with radom facts Derry. Walking up pointing a particular one that caught my interest, "I-Is this a charter..?" My voice unsure, gazing to the pale boy.
"Yeah, of Derry Township!" His voice excited, as he gazes upon the same page.
"Nerd," a cough comes behind us, turning my eyes meet the same fish eyed boy, who let me ride with him her. Groaning I ignore his rude comment and look to the New Kid, however the boy who the insult was aimed towards, didn't seem to mind, too much at least.
"No it's interesting actually, like did you guys know that Derry used to be a Beaver Trapping town?" The boy asks in excitement, a glimmer in his eyes as he asks.
I feeling a tug on my leg, I cast my gaze downward, seeing the blonde haired boy. "What's Beaver Trapping?" He asks in a sweet voice, giggling as I pick him up, to answer his question.
"Beaver Trapping um-" walking to the side so the rest of the group can carry their conversation, as I try to find an explanation, that will not scare him for the rest of his naive little days. getting close to the door as I finish my explanation, "Beaver Trapping, is a job where they gather beavers, and give them to pet stores, so they can become pets," a sigh of relief falls over my lips, when I find out a good and somewhat believable excuse.
"Does that mean I can get a beaver, do you think daddy will buy me one?" He asks excitedly as he bounces on my hip.
"Maybe boyo, that's an answer for dad to tell you dear," Answering with a giggle, looking up to the clock that hung in the boy's room, realization washes over my body. "Shit we gotta go guys, thanks for inviting us!" rushing out the door I call out to them. Running out his door, down the stairs, and out the front door., before any of them could even fathom what was going on.
"W-why we in such a rush Keke?" James asked startled at the fast movements, hurriedly picking up both mine and his bag, before running as fast as I can to the other part of town.
"D-Dad will be home soon, a-and I haven't even thought about dinner!" Darting passed every pedestrian, weaving in between cars.
People yelling and honks of cars follow us as he go back to our house. As we come up to the street our home is on, my eyes almost bust with tears seeing my dad's car back from work. "Shit, fuck, fuck!" Exclaiming as I run towards the house, praying to whatever devilish God runs the Earth.
Opening the door, trying to calm my panting down, my father waits on the couch unfortunetly the couch is facing the door. we make eye contact, the same look I have seen many times, letting the young boy off of me, smiling as I give him his bag. "Here bub, go to your doom you can use my Walkman and listen to music," Smiling the boy nods and runs off to his room, as soon as the door closes my father speaks.
