Weeks have passed, most of Kelsey's time has been either been spent with Richie, or helping Stanley get ready for his Bar Mitzvah. It was weird to not be caught up with the Loser's, but as the day's count down closer to August. The longing for everything to go back to normal, seemed more and more like a pipe dream.
"Okay everyone ready?" Her father called, adjusting his tie from his place beside the door.
"I'm already!" James responds, running in to the entryway of the home.
Putting on a small backpack filled with her personal items, along with some things for James. She walks out of her room, in a light blue A-line dress with a sheer bejewled overlay.
"Yup," she says with a smile. Her hair, after so long of is now shoulder length bleached blonde, her dark roots very apparent.
The small family piles in to the car, and arrive at the synagogue. The three arrive early seeing as their father needed to be there, and the kids didn't want to walk. As the two boys head in to the synagogue, the girl staying outside to take in the unusually calm day.
The day prior her, Richie, and Stanley all discussed that they would be arriving early. Stanley and Kelsey having to be, and Richie's mother wanted to make a good impression. Carefully she sits on the cement steps, waiting for the rest of her friends to come.
The girl silently sits, playing with the end of her billowy sleeves. Ever since the group had all split, the only people she stayed in contact with was the two boys. Ben she'd sometimes see heading to the library, which they'd make small talk, but nothing more. Seeing Mike was only once when he would be on delivery, but all they'd only get the chance to say hello before he'd be off on his bike again. Bill and Beverly was almost like seeing a ghost. She'd think she'd see their head from the corner of her eye, but as soon as she'd turn around the familiar hair would disappear.
"Damn mami cleans up nice," a snarky voice rings from the bottom, of where she sits. Their chocolate eyes met, Kelsey realizing that they both chose blue.
With s soft giggle, she stands from her spot, meeting her boyfriend half way down the stairs. "Are you saying that I look terrible, every other time you see me?" She smirks, pulling the boy closer to her by his suit's jacket.
"Well not terrible, I actually think I prefer you in fishnet and tights," he comments back with a smirk, pressing her against the railing.
"Ugh, please don't have sex out here on my Bar Mitzvah," Stanley groans, coming out from the synagogue.
Stanley has had to deal with this since the split. At first he was jealous of the glasses wearing boy, but as time went on, he saw how happy they both were and came to terms. At least as much as a boy could, when their best friend was dating their longtime crush.
"Always a cockblock aren't ya' Stan," Richie groans, pushing himself away from the girl. Taking her hand as they walk up to the meet the pre-man boy.
"Ya' know, there's faster ways of becoming a man. You know cause I don't think you'd last longer than two minutes," Richie begins once they get up to the boy. "As soon as you're in, you be all. Ugh, ahh, shit, pwoo!" He exaggerates, trying to fake a moaning sound. Ending his long spew with a fake explosion sound, mimicking the explosion with his hands.
"Eww, that's so gross Four Eyes!" Kelsey screams, pushing the volger boy away from her.
"I'd last longer than you," Stanley comes back with a shrug.
"Fuck that, Kelsey can testify for me!" Richie accuses, pointing to his significant other.
"I definitely can not, as much as you hate it Tozier, you are still a virgin," with that she walks in to the ceremony hall. One boy shocked almost offended by the girl's remarks. The other happily enjoying seeing the other in pain, from something his friend had said.
