"Ahh so barbeque later tonight as always, right Dan?" The long haired older man asks, holding his son's hand. The parade had ended not too long ago, now all the adults were either packing up to leave or going to enjoy the day's entertainment.
"Of course Paul, when haven't I had it," the black haired man joked, patting the man's shoulder.
Kelsey's eyes gaze over the not so busy street, her eyes meeting a pair of blue ones. Across the street, the other girl who hung out with the losers stands. Quickly Kelsey, taps her father's shoulder, making sure he wasn't engaged into a conversation first.
Paul turns to her gazing down to the girl, "Can go hang out with some friends?" She asks nicely, pulling at her thumbs holing he would agree.
"Of course, just meet us at Dan's house," he agrees before going back ti the pther adult.
"Yay boy's day!" James cheers throwing his fists in the air.
She runs to meet up with Beverly Marsh, waving her hand, catching the red head's attention. "Hey Kelsey, that's your old man?" The overalled girl asks pointing to her father from across the way.
Nodding as she stops beside her friend, "Yup," her voice sounds dissapointed.
"You all look like the perfect American Family," Beverly retorts, motionsing to the matching red, white and blue theme the whole family has.
Giggling she nods, "Yup, to the naked eye we really do," quickly changing to a hopeful tone.
"Aye mami!" The call comes from behind the girl's. However that voice is all too familiar to the two young women.
"Ahh fish eyes," exasperated sigh, turning around to meet just who they both had thought.
"Do you think before you speak Richie?" Beverly asks, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Come on Bev I doubt he remembers his first words," Kelsey quickly rebuttles, causing everyone to laugh besides the black haired boy.
"Who needs first words when, I know you're name?" He smirks back, causing the girl to groan, looking to the sky.
"You've gotten worse, how is that fucking possible!" The three other laugh, watching her dramatic performance.
"I ask myself that same question everyday," Eddie sympathizes, patting her shoulder. Signing she leans her head against the boy. Causing the boy to stiffen under the sudden display of affection shown.
"Hey, watch it Eds" Richie warns, taking the girl's hand, pulling her into his chest. With a squeak Kelsey collides into his chest.
Unbeknownst to the two young teenager's, a pair of blue eyes stared at the two. Particularly glaring at the glasses wearing boy. With a quick look over her shoulder, she catches thoes same eyes. Quickly pushing off the boy, with a slug on his right shoulder.
With an approving nod, the parent and child begin to walk down the street and too the local park, not too far from where they stood. Groaning the boy rubs his shoulder, an annoyed look in his eyes as he gazes to the suprisingly strong girl.
"What the hell Kelsey!" Richie says more as a strong statement, than an question. However he notices the gaze she which held on to the man across the way, with her brother.
The group watches as the man disappears from their sight. A chill washing over all four of the children. "Th-that's your dad, he doesn't look like someone who,-" Eddie pauses for a moment, trying to think of a nice way to mention her lightly bruised cheek.
"-could be such a dick. Yeah, well you'd be surprised, what "normal" men hide on the inside Eds," Richie finishes, glaring at the blonde man's head. The hand was once rubbing his shoulder, now holding onto Kelsey's small hand, in comfort.
