The sun was about to set, signaling everyone slowly starting to depart. Once again Stan appologizes for not being able to take Kelsey to her destination. Ending up the girl sitting on Richie's bike again.
"So you gonna tell me what you didn't tell Stan the man?" The boy inquired, as he rides his bike standing.
"Wh-what do you mean?" She answers, with a forced giggle.
"Oh come on you can't lie to me, I saw that stupid smile you do. You know it's nit that convincing of your usual happy go lucky smile," he informs, starting to swirve his bike, the girl clutching onto seat, hard.
"Not funny Freshie!" Her voice squeaks, from the fear of falling off.
"Aww come on Mami, don't you trust me to keep you safe?" A smirk plays on his freckled face.
"Ha, ha, ha, I don't even trust you to hold my jacket," she retorts in her usual sassy tone, she seemed to always have with the boy.
"Yet you trust me enough to kiss me? You need to get your priorities straight, Princess," he returns the tone, as he bikes down the street.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, maybe I was just super hammered, and thought you were Corey Haim," she back fires, the boy stops biking, leaving the two in the middle of the street.
He turns back to her, after both their feet are planted on the ground. "Corey Haim, can't even come close to touching this," he smirks, coming closer to the girl, just barely hovering away from her face.
"Mm, maybe but I can," with a smirk, she uses her hands to push the boy's face away from her's.
"Hey!" He screams in protest, as he face is smooshed by the female's hands. Giggling and smiling in victory as she pulls her hands away.
"There we go, again I like this smile a lot more than the other," his voice soft and sweet, as he holds her hand.
He takes her hand, and the bike off to a well kept lawn. Setting both the girl and the bike on the soft grass. "Now, tell me," he speaks firm, the sun setting in the backround.
With a deep breath she begins telling him, the morning of her first delivery of the summer.
"I-I left him outside, when I went to go get the deliveries for Mrs. Goodall. I came back and he was c-crying,-" her voice breaking, as she holds back tears. Richie wraps an arm around her, pulling the girl closer to him.
"-he said he saw a-a clown, a-and that the clown h-had Georgie. He was so scared, shaking in my arms when I came back out," her story finishes, as silent tears rolls down her face.
"That's why you Walkie Talkied James," he says as everything comes into view and finally making sense.
"You haven't seen anything though?" He asks gently not wanting to upset the girl further. She simply shakes her head, hugging onto the younger boy tight, trying hard to hide her tears.
"He'll be okay, I'll make sure he is, and you," lifting up her face with his fingers, connecting their eyes. He runs his thumb down her tear stained cheeks. "I'll protect you and him, with everything I have left, wether it's from you dad, or whatever the hell is terroizing the rest of the Losers,"
Wrapping her arms around the boy's neck, her hands on the back of his black haired head. She pulls him closer to her, smashing their lips together. Everything she couldn't say seemed to come out through the kiss.
Pulling back, both blushing with smiles on their faces. "Okay, twice we're a thing now right?" He asks, with a happy smirk.
She giggles and smiles, "Only if you want to be, I wouldn't be oppose to it however," a soft voice as she smiles to the boy.
"Hell yeah Mami," he pulls you closer again, slamming their lips together.
With a giggle the girl pulls back, connecting their foreheads together, their noses gently grazing eachother's. Her hands running gently through his black hair, the boy humming, loving the feeling.
"D-Do you mind coming with me to the barbecue?" Asking a little scared, worried of his response.
"The one with Bower's? Hell yeah, I don't trust him for a second, especially with you," quickly he retorts, causing the girl to giggle.
"This is probably the only time I do trust him," she says, pulling him up and off the grass. "His dad breaths down his neck the whole time, that keeps him in check," with a smirk as she pulls him to his bike.
"First before we go," her hands goes to his red and white Hawaiian shirt, buttoning it up, leaving the first ciuple of buttons open.
"Hey, what's wrong with my fashion?" He asks offended, pulling his now buttoned shirt down.
Witha soft giggle, she wraps her arms around him. "Do you want to make a good first impression?" She asks with a smirk.
"How can anyone not love me?" He smirks back.
A gentle giggle, she smiles "It's a mystery to me," she says sarcastically, sitting on the back of his now bike, waiting for him to get on.
Not too long after a short ride, the two teens show up at a decently large, pale blue house. Cars trailing up and down the street. "Shit, is all of Derry here?" He asks, as he stops letting Kelsey get off, then leaning his bike against a tree.
"Eh only half," she chuckles, leaning on the boy's shoulder.
"So this is the Hershal barbecue I've heard in legends," he tries to imitate an Australian accent, bending down walking forward with caution.
Laughing the girl, loops around his arm, pulling him around the house, and too an open get leading to the back of the house. The music blasting loud, along with splashing of water, and joyous laughter. "And now you're gonna live it, come on. Let's have fun babe," she smirks too the boy whoes face became red hearing her use a new nickname.
