Ahh sorry I don't answer my comments much, ugh I'm just so awkward and shy it's not even funny. I appreciate and read them so thank you so much c:

It was Friday night, the week had gone by faster than Alex had thought. Every morning he would wake up to Jack sleeping beside him in his bed. His mom had set up a cot on one side of his room, but Jack never used it, not when he had the option to cuddle into Alex's arms every night, feeling his warm breath on the inside of his neck as he slowly drifted off to sleep. They would get dressed,  Jack always trying to pick out Alex's clothes for him. Alex would just laugh, throwing on something off the floor. They would walk across the street and have coffee before grabbing the bus and heading off to school where they would spend the next 6 hours pretending they almost hated each other. It was hard for them both, considering the fact that after finding out that both boys were familiar with each other, the teachers had changed Jack's schedule to match Alex's so the new boy would have someone to show him around. The staff were delighted with this idea, especially since Alex had failed 12th grade and was back disrupting their classes again for another year. But all that was worth it because as soon as the bell rang, they would meet each other at the park where Alex had found Jack freezing to death just a week before. And when they saw each other pass through the bare trees and into the clearing, their hearts would begin beating normally again. Everything felt complete when they were together. They forgot everything that had happened in the past. They were just Jack and Alex. Nothing more, nothing less. And now that it was the weekend, they wouldn't have to break that bond for even a second.

"Alex?" Jack whispered across the room where Alex was digging furiously through his collection of DVDs, trying to find something they hadn't already seen.

"Yeah?" Alex asked, turning to face him.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Of course. Anything."

"Would you still like me if I was bald?" Jack asked seriously.

"Um what? Careful Jack, you had me scared for a second." Alex laughed, but Jack remained still.

"I'm not kidding. One day, I'll be bald. You'll hate me won't you? Jeez I'll be ugly."

"You'll still be adorable, you have nothing to worry about." He moved onto the bed beside him, lifting the younger boy's chin he kissed his lips slowly, not wanting to pull away until he absolutely had to.

"We just had out first kiss." Jack said, a little dazed.

"I know, I'm sorry, I just had to. You were being kinda cute, I couldn't help myself.  I know I should have made it more special. Ugh I'm an idiot. Sorry. You're not mad are you?"

"No. I wanted you to, I just wasn't expecting it. It was nice." Jack smiled, looking down as he blushed a bright crimson.

"I hope you know that I love you Jack. I'm sorry we can't be together like normal couples, but one day I swear to you, we will."

"I love you too Alex." Jack whispered, his green eyes looked deep into Alex's, making the older boys breath catch in his throat. He still wasn't used to this whole thing, and he didn't know if it was too soon to be dropping the L word, but he did feel like he loved Jack. He really, truly did.

:"Well enough of this mushy crap, how about a game of Truth or Dare?" Alex smiled devilishly.

"Sure. You first?"

"Dare, obviously. I'm a fearless bastard."Alex chuckled.

"I dare you to... lick the floor."

"Really? That's the best you can do?"

"Have you seen your floor? I can barely walk on it without throwing up. Look, see that? That's pizza. On your floor. Stuck. That's disgusting." Jack gagged, kicking the slice across the room.

"Okay." Alex shrugged, sliding off the bed and getting on his hands and knees, looking up at Jack.

"Ew no okay don't no that will have been our first and last kiss if you lick that floor." Jack whined, throwing a pillow at Alex's head.

"Okay, truth or dare?" Alex laughed, catching the pillow and climbing back onto his bed, laying his head on Jack's lap.

"Truth."

"No."

"No?" Jack asked, puzzled by Alex's response.

"No. Pick dare."

"But I want truth."

"Pick dare or die." Alex hissed into Jack's ear, the steamy breath against his cool skin sending chills down his spine.

"Fine."

"I dare you to kiss me."

"Corny much?" Jack said harshly, yet he wasn't able to hide the big smile that spread across his face.

"Are you going to kiss me or just keep chattering?"

Jack leaned down and eagerly did what the older boy asked. But feeling a bit revengeful Jack made a split minute decision and bit down hard on Alex's lip.

"Dammit Jack what the fuck was that for?" Alex cursed, tasting the blood as it began to puddle on his lip.

"1. You didnt let me pick truth, and 2. Now I have a reason to kiss you better." Jack smiled sweetly, pulling the other boy towards him again, hearing him laugh as there lips met. The blood was gone, but the pain was still there. Alex didn't care though, all he wanted was in his arms at that moment.

Joyce got home from work early that night. She usually worked from 3 till 12. She worked at Starbucks and always wreaked of coffee by the time the night was over. But it didn't bother her much lately, she was just happy to have Jack safe with her and Alex. Silently, she crept up the stairs towards Alex's bedroom. He was always complaining about her working so late, she was excited to see his face when he saw she was home at a decent hour. But she stopped dead in her tracks when she got to his door. They were kissing. And. Giggling. The sounds escaped through the walls of the room. She felt her stomach sink again. She knew it wasn't a big deal, she had almost come to terms with the fact. What bothered her most was the fact that Alex wouldn't tell her. Did he not feel he could confide in her? Was she really that bad of a mother? Yea she worked a lot so she could put food on the table but she didn't think that was so terrible. All she wanted was her son to trust that she would accept and love him no matter what choices he made.

Just as things seemed to be coming together for the two boys, they were also secretly falling apart.
