16 «Confession(?) and Embarrassment»

I felt utterly confused at our situation. Not only was I able to reconcile with Vel about the event yesterday, I had also hugged him which would just seem off due to how I did so, and lastly, we were briefed on what our stupid grandfathers had done.

"They were probably drunk at the time they made the pact." Vel chuckled as he stared at me, still acting calm.

Vel acting like this... is unbelievably cute!

"Hahaha,I know right?" I then joined him in laughing.

For a few minutes, we continued chatting about the fact that our grandfathers were quite the impulsive type of people. It was fun setting aside other things and just laughing about stuff that we would normally see everyday. But well...there was no avoiding a discussion about the fact that we were practically engaged since birth.

"So...earlier was pretty... surprising, wasn't it?" Vel looked away, trying to hide his blushing face. But his embarrassed was easily shown due to the fact that his ears were bright red.

"Yeah, finding out about us being engaged was so surprising." I began to hide my blushing face with the pillow I held. "...It was so embarrassing too."

Vel was a bit silent after I had said that. He seemed a lot more embarrassed as I saw his ears become redder overtime. I guessed that it was probably also because of the fact that we were engaged by a High Rank Spirit. But when he finally spoke, I found out that I was wrong in my guess.

"Well, that was embarrassing too, but..." He then turned his head to face me, but he had his arm covering his mouth as his face was as red as a strawberry. "... what's more embarrassing was what happened before that..."

Be..fore…….!! Ah! I forgot about that!

Upon being reminded of my previous actions, I fell into a deep state of embarrassment. I kept my blushing countenance from showing by completely covering it with the pillow which I had held since earlier.

I probably looked so stupid earlier! No I totally did!

"Uuuu— Please don't laugh…"

"Why would I?" He shifted his gaze to the side, avoiding mine due to his current state. "...You actually looked really cute when you did it.."

I looked at him in surprise, I was even frozen in place due to what he had said. There was this strange, bubbly feeling I had. The feeling seemed new, yet it felt so familiar.

"I...really liked it...when you hugged me and…" He started to redden once more. His charm towards me growing and growing by the second.

I continued to be stuck in my place due to a weird sensation I've had since he called me cute. Just like Vel, my face and begun to be colored with a shade of pink.

"...I've been meaning to tell you this for a long time now…" Vel then blushed to his limit, which I expected to have no bounds. Though I could already guess what was going to happen, it just made me more and more expectant yet reluctant to listen.
