Only a short moment has passed since the black dragon entered Kazuki's left hand, but he was still as surprised as he was earlier. Though he felt uneasy that a dragon just entered his body, he tried to be as calm as possible. And while there was no sign of the dragon going out of his body, he carried the five dragon eggs out of the carriage with one on each hand.
After carefully placing them down on the somewhat soft grass, he sat down, thinking about what he should do. The eggs aren't supposed to be left alone so he thought of how to keep them safe. Even if the shells are really thick, there's still no guarantee that the undeveloped dragons would be able to live if they're unexpectedly shaken.
What if I just hatch them right now?
The thought made Kazuki shiver slightly. Since the amount of mana you would need to hatch a single dragon egg is already really large, hatching five would just be unthinkable. Even if he did technically have infinite mana, he would have to sleep in accordance to how much mana he would use. And he's still uncertain on how long he would need to sleep if he were to hatch the eggs. Months? Years? Or probably even decades? He just didn't know. And due to that, he hesitated.
Do not falter...
A young voice in his head told him. It caught him off guard and made him turn to his back, only to see that no one was there. Kazuki was uncertain whether it was from a girl or not due to the fact that two voices seem to overlap.
We shall assist you in helping our people...
Our people? Kazuki thought after the voice within his head finished talking. Unsurprisingly, he was more certain on what he would do than earlier. He was now confident that he would be able to hatch the eggs after the voices had told him that they would help him in doing so.
But before doing so, he first took off the straps of the gauntlets he wore. After that, he pulled them off and placed them inside the bag on his side which contained the crystal he got from the gray bear and a large number of materials. With his hands free from the concealment of his gauntlets, he put his focus on the eggs in front of him.
Upon reaching closer to one of the eggs he had carried outside, he placed both his hands on top of the egg. Then pouring his own mana into it. There's a special aspect in hatching dragons in this world. You could use mana that has an affinity with an element and if you use that kind of element in developing a dragon egg, the dragon would have the element affinity when it is born. That was the reason that dragons were born with their own elements. There were even theories that the dragon race once had only one element.
After a few minutes of pouring his mana into the egg, it began to emit a dim light. The light was on the yellow-ish side with some small streaks of electricity being discharged outside the shell. Like you would expect, Kazuki was trying to hatch the dragon into one with an affinity to lightning and electricity. Since there were none that he saw in the carriage earlier, ge decided to make one. Though he was unsure, he wasn't all too worried with this experiment failing. But he was a bit uncertain if his mana was actually going to be enough.

Eh? I haven't lost all of it yet? I was so sure that I would've gotten to zero by now...
The unusual behavior of his mana bewildered Kazuki, but he didn't think much of it and continued to pour his mana into the egg. After a longer while, he was sure that the egg would be able to hatch after just a few hours and moved onto another egg. After repeating the process for another six times, he was finally able to rest.
After all of that, not even half of his mana was depleted. But he was still exhausted by pouring the large amounts into the eggs to help them hatch. Normally, he wouldn't help hatch these eggs at all. But something in him made him do so instinctively. He was having trouble remembering, since he had those memories currently locked away from him.
