Two months have passed since Kazuki began to teach Amelia, Tia, and I things about magic. With the cold white snow which most wish to see and experience, it was already the time of year where one would normally find people inside their homes, warming themselves and drinking warm beverages. But for us four, it was a day like any other. Well, it was supposed to be that way.
"Valentine's? You have that here?" Kazuki asked as he was wrapped up neatly with a blanket while he wore his own coat.
"Yeah, we do, and it's really important!" I spoke in a determined manner. "But, I have to ask first...Why are you in the forge like that?"
Currently, the outside temperature was roughly -3°C and Kazuki had to find somewhere to be able to warm up. With Kazuki's slight intolerance to cold weather, he thought it was a good idea to go into my house and warm up in the forge. And here, is the result of that idea.
"So? We're friends right? Can't I just rest here for a little longer?"
"That's not the point! Don't you already have a place to stay at?" I pointed at the person at the door. "Even Yumi is here."
"I'm only here on behalf of our father." She then walked towards the bundled up Kazuki and pinched his ear. "And he says that you need to get back there immediately. We have something to attend to."
"Ow! Stop!" Kazuki struggled with trying to make Yumi let his ear go.
"Not until you stand up from there and go back to the mansion with me."
"If that's the case," Kazuki then started to use a skill, a skill that I was all too familiar with, [Body Enhancement].
Yumi also seemed to notice while she continued to pinch Kazuki with a monotone face. Her expression looked the same but her eyes seem to say otherwise. She was annoyed. I found out quite easily due to always being together with Tia and having to put up with her occasional tantrums which I don't really understand. It's mostly associated with the times that I chat with customers, female customers to be exact.
Yumi then strengthened her pinch and twisted his ear, making him scream in pain. "Quit throwing a fit and just come. It will be over quicker than you notice it. Going there won't even take us that long."
"Quicker?! Travel time isn't the problem! We'll be staying at the capital for a week! It's near the center of the Human Territory while we're here near the edge! Only to attend a party!?" Kazuki complained and complained like a child.
"A party organized by the PRINCESS mind you." Yumi retorted with a straight face. "Plus, father has business with the King."
"So what?! Why do I need to attend?!"
Seeing him like this...is so unusual...
Usually, I'd see Kazuki as someone who's calm and smart. He's also really cunning at times. He probably even thinks teasing both Tia and I is a fun pastime. And he's a bit childish at times. But I didn't expect him to be THIS childish.
"I don't know! Ask him yourself!" Yumi finally lashed out and yelled, surprising Kazuki and making him quiet.
"A-alright..."
"Come, let's go now." Yumi then took hold of his wrist and pulled him out of the blanket he was in. "They're all waiting for you to stop being a baby. Sorry for the inconvenience."
