Giyu is a demon slayer. In fact, he's a pillar, a hashira, the highest rank a demon slayer could reach. What was his job? To slay demons of course! Another fact about Giyu was that he was quite a loner, introverted. He wasn't that social, nor did he try to talk to anyone if unnecessary. He also never thought of having a significant other in his life. That changed the day he saw her. He was sent on a mission in a village up north. He was wandering in the night, looking for the demon he was to hunt down and kill, then he saw a woman beneath the moonlight. She wore a pink and white silk kimono, and her hair was let down. She also had a very beautiful flower pin on her hair. He was love-struck. The anti-social man who dreaded talking to others wanted to talk to this beautiful woman, but he couldn't put himself to do it. He was too shy, and too mesmerized to do so. She didn't notice him, and he didn't want that either. The woman then ran inside one of the houses, disappearing from the pillar's sight. He was quite saddened. He wanted to see the woman again, so he thought of trying the next morning.
[The Next Day]
He went to the same place where he was yesterday, but the woman was nowhere to be found. He asked a few villagers if they saw her, but none of them were familiar of such girl. He was confused, but he was still determined to find her. Nightfall came once again, and he did not astray from his mission, still looking around for the demon he was assigned to slay. Near an alleyway, he saw the same woman, still more beautiful than ever. He spoke to her.
Giyu: Hello miss, are you perhaps lost? Y/N: No, I am not. Who are you? Giyu: I am Giyu Tomioka. You are? Y/N: My name's Y/N. Giyu: You shouldn't be out here at his time. Demons are lurking during this hour. Y/N: I'll make sure to be safe. Giyu: Are you sure?- Y/N: Yes, I am sure. Thank you for your concern. I have to go.
And away Y/N went. Giyu was disappointed that he let the girl leave once again. But he did get to talk to her, and he was surprised. He wasn't usually like that when talking to someone. He really wanted to know Y/N more, so he was to try again.
[The Next Day]
He looked around the village early in the morning, seeking for Y/N. No sign of her yet again. He was starting to think she was hiding from him.
The day quickly passed, and night came upon once more. He thought that he would find her, and he was right. She was outside the same house she entered the night he saw her. She was there just standing, looking around.
Y/N: You again? Giyu: Uhm, h-hi? Y/N: Hello, what do you want? Giyu: I just really wanted to... uhm, get to know you? Y/N: What? Why? Giyu: You seem so interesting. The night I saw you, I was pretty astonished. So, do you accept my proposal to know you better? Y/N: Hm, sure.
The night went on like that. They talked, laughed, and so on. The other nights were like this, but Giyu started to wonder why they couldn't meet during the day.
Giyu: Why can you only go out in the night? Y/N: O-oh, uhm, my parents don't allow me outside during the day, even during the night. I just sneak out when they're asleep.
This has went on for weeks. Giyu didn't forget about his mission though, but he never found the demon. Through the weeks he was there, he slowly fell in love with Y/N. Sure he was pretty much love-struck when he first saw her, but this time, he truly did fall for her. He wanted to make it official. It was unlikely of him to do so, for a girlfriend or a significant other was never something he thought he would need, nor want, but it was different with her. He wanted her to be his, and him to be hers. Night came, and they met again at the same spot they always do.
Giyu: Y/N, I have something to ask you. Y/N: What is it? Giyu: W-will you b-be my- Y/N: Girlfriend? Giyu: How did you- Y/N: Yes, yes I would.
He was shocked. Was she expecting it? Nonetheless he was happy. They were actually together now. A month passed, and he was happy, but at the same time stressed and worried. He never found the demon that was reported to have been lurking in the village. He first thought that the demon went to another village, but the killings never stopped, so he was beyond worried. The deaths were all reported to have happened the time where he sleeps or rests. He was confused. He was left dumbfounded. Was this demon really that cunning?
Night. Yes, it came again. He thought he would skip meeting Y/N today, wanting to finish his mission there, so he could actually talk with Y/N without any baggage. He seeked everywhere, then a scream came from one of the houses. He knocked, but no one answered. He barged in. There he saw a woman being attacked by... Y/N?
Giyu: Y/N? Y/N: Oh, Giyu. Hah, I guess you're surprised, ey? Well, you found out. Yes, I'm a demon, and the demon you were assigned to kill.
Giyu was shocked, and hurt at the same time. Was she just using him? He wanted to finish his mission, but he couldn't put himself to do so. He loved her. How could he kill the one he loves?
Y/N: If you're thinking that I used you, you're wrong. I truly did fall for you, but I can't live without eating any humans, darling. I love you dearly, and I want you to know that, but a demon and a demon slayer can't simply be in a relationship, knowing that both oppose each other's doings.
He was heartbroken. As he was debating whether he was going to kill her or not, the sun was going to rise soon.
Y/N: Look, what about I spare this woman and leave this village. I can't promise I won't kill anymore humans, but I would leave this place for you. As an apology, I will leave this village. Oh look, the sun's coming up, I better leave. Ciao~
Then she exited through the window.
Woman: W-why didn't you kill her? Giyu: I'm sorry ma'am. I couldn't bring myself to do so. Woman: At least she spared me. Giyu: Pardon me for barging in to your abode. I'll take my leave now.
He left the house. He was heartbroken, but at the same time surprised that a demon fell for him. He was sad knowing that he could never be with you, and that this world would never allow it. You were supposed to be enemies. He was supposed to hate demons, yet he fell in love with one. He still wanted to be with you, demon or not, but your intentions and lifestyle was something he did oppose, just like you said. He still loves you though, and he's never going to forget about you.
Giyu: So, My Lover is a Demon?
[End]
