"Are there any moments where you're not reading those weird books?"
Jamie sent her friend a glare as she shut the monster manual for DnD, the fifth addition manual. She was trying to DM for a campaign but it was a little hard since she was always just a player, "It's not weird, ass."
A laugh came out of Erika while she sat beside her, "Put that thing down. Have some fun."
She looked around at the party, this was a bunch of theatre kids drinking and sliding down the stairs in sleeping bags. This really was a fun party and reading in on DnD could always be put off for later. So Jamie put the book into her backpack and picked up the red solo cup that Erika made for her.
"Fine, what's in my drink?"
"Pure fuel!" Erika throws her own half filled cup up in the air with a laugh, making Jamie join in with the laughter.
Her head was pounding, she could feel her heartbeat through the pain. Jamie brought her head back only to have it press against something.
"Jamie-"
A groan left her lips, from the pain and from the fact that this wasn't some weird absurd dream. Her dream was her home and friends, but here she was in this odd reality with monsters and Witchers. "My head hurts."
"Your head hurts!"
Jamie slowly opened her eyes, squinting them at the sudden light difference. She chose to ignore the man and his complaining because this was a serious situation they were in. Jamie's never been kidnapped before so this was new. Newer than the world she was currently living in.
She pressed herself further against Geralt and the other man, a little uncomfortable with the fact that she was facing the entrance or exit, depending on the person. "Geralt?"
"He's not awake yet."
"Geralt." Jamie repeated, shaking her right arm a little bit in hopes of waking him.
Geralt's head shot up as he grunts, pulling at the restraints and groaning as he tried to get them off.
"This is the part where we escape."
"Oh, shut up." Jamie used the back of her head to hit him, in which he does it back, "You're such a child."
"You hit me first."
She repeated back his words in a mocking tone, "This is the part where we escape? I'm sure this is the part where they fucking kill us."
"Who's they?"
Jamie jumped when a woman kicked the bard in the face, she ducked to the side, leaning as much as she could against Geralt. She said something but it was in a completely different language.
"Elves."
Jamie turned her head, "Elves?"
Geralt was the next to get kicked in the face and then Jamie, only slamming her head into both Geralt and the bard.
