Geralt hadn't really slept at all. He was angry with himself and how he reacted toward Jamie. If he wanted her back he wouldn't have done any of that. All he did was push her away this time. Jamie had left him before but now he was the one ruining everything. And he was frustrated with that. With himself and with her. He threw open his tent, not exactly using it in the first place, and walked out. He stopped the second he saw Jamie.

Her tired form, slouched, obviously lacking sleep from their talk the previous night. But this just made him want to walk over to her and continue it. Rather than continue their argument, he wanted to make amends and just apologize to her. Finally, loosening the tightness in his jaw, he turned away from her and walked away.

Yennefer's voice caught his attention as she searched around, "Has anyone seen my escort?" She finally stopped next to Jamie, "Jamie?"

"I just woke up, Yennefer." Geralt turned his head in their direction, taking in Jamie's defeated sounding voice. She was busy adjusting her boots to even notice that Geralt was staring at her again. Despite being highly attracted to Jamie in that revealing dress, the idea and image of her as a warrior was far more attractive. And here she was basically dressed that way now.

"Ah!" Yarpen screams from the distance, his voice very distinct, "Bloody ball sacks!"

His cry alerted everyone and caused them all to go running to investigate. Geralt scrunched his nose and furrowed his brows. The bastard had been killed in such a disgusting position that it almost made Geralt feel sorry for him.

Jaskier covers his neck with his hands and swallows, "Who slits a man's throat while he's relieving his bowels? I nothing sacred anymore?"

Yennefer shook head head, "Fuck." Before she stormed off.

Jamie sighed loudly, "That's one way to get a man when he's alone."

Geralt didn't even budge when Jamie brushed past him as she went after Yennefer. He scowled, a surge of irritation running through him as Jamie pursued Yennefer of all people. He approached them slowly and silently, "Did you kill Eyk?"

Jamie's voice was exasperated as she shot him a displeased looked, "Geralt-"

But Yennefer didn't give Jamie a chance to defend her, "Kill him?" She scoffs with a low chuckle, "That's rather pedestrian. And you're the one who's been throwing daggers at him since we arrived. It was the Reavers. That bastard Boholt killed my escort before he could accomplish the one damn task I actually needed him for."

Geralt squinted his eyes, "And what was that?"

Jamie shot him a look, "Do you honestly care?"

"Jamie." Geralt scowled at her hostile behavior, she had never been hostile with him like this before, "What are you two really doing here?"

"I'm here for the dragon."

"And I'm here for Yennefer."

Geralt remained silent, he had heard that too many times from Jamie, but he did want more of a genuine answer. None of this vague shit they were giving him.
