I Wish All Little Girls

I wish all little girls,
will read fairytales,
Of fairy godmothers,
Poison apples,
And magic spinning wheels,
And dream of being,
The wicked witch,
rather than the beautiful princess,
For it is the realistic option,

I wish all little girls,
Will devour these stories with open minds,
And ask themselves:
Not if it is possible to be that bad,
But if it is possible to be that good,

I wish all little girls,
Will realise through the tales,
That nobody can be beautiful, kind and intelligent,
And that owning a Disney Princess's personality,
Is a boring mere pipedream,

I wish all little girls,
Will learn from the Princessess mistakes,
And when they get to the crossroads of life,
They'll choose intelligence over beauty,

I wish all little girls,
Will value their own idea of a princess,
Over what is written in front of them.
