You're like a carving
From my imperfection
I look at you
And all I see
Are my deepest insecurities
Turned inside out
I stare at you
And I discover the lash
Of scars hidden within the layers of
Brittle skin
I wince at the
Dirt underneath the fingernails
Rather than soil
I view you as just a carbon copy of myself
If I'd wanted to be a clone
I'd have joined them at first chance
I'm flattered you want to be me
That you are gulable enough to believe
The lies I dress myself in every morning before dusk,
And I then shred at dawn
Please, I beg you
Be yourself
For you're too young
For my depression
For you're too innocent
For my darkness
For you're too ambitious
To be as boring as IA/N: Apologies for my terrible spelling! I am the WORST speller...
