Lauren’s POV:
Everything was quiet. Camila was sitting a few inches away from me on the park bench. The sun was on it's rightful place today, so there's no point if I continued jogging.
She was looking at me with determination in her eyes. But it was mixed with hurt and hesitation. She opened her mouth as if she's about to say something. But then she bit her lip then looked down.
"I thought we're gonna talk?" I shrugged. When I turned to her direction, I just found myself staring at her.
"We are talking." Camila said, avoiding my gaze.
"Okay." I sighed.
It's very hot but the atmosphere between us is very cold. We were sitting for almost an hour but.... I find it nostalgic just sitting beside her. Very calming.
"Do you hate me?" Camila blurted out.
"Why would I hate you?" I answered. It's true though. "Even though we're not super close anymore, I still lov--I mean, You're still my friend."
Camila blushed a deep shade of red then began to play her thumbs.I felt a lump on my throat. So I guess talking is kinda hard now.
"I guess I should go. I think my Mom's looking for me right now." I said while stretching my legs.
"I suppose so-- Wait..."
"Hmm?"
"We're coming to visit Grandma at her lake house." She started.
"How long?" I asked, not bothering to look at her.
"Just a week."
"Why bother telling me this?" I shrugged.
"Cause I was wondering if y-you... w-wanna... c-c-come." she stuttered. The last part turned into a whisper but I could still hear it well.
A smile crept on my face. "Well why didn't you say so?" I smiled. "I'll go. It's just for a week, right?"
Camila nodded."Great." she smiled. "I'll tell Mom about it." She stood up then wiped her face with a towel.
"We'll pick you up at 8." Then she ran off.
-----------------------------------------
I don't know what happened. But... I just watched her ran off like a total goofball not minding the heat of the sun. So you can say that I'm stupid. Don't worry, I won't get mad.
Anyway, I just ate my breakfast a minute ago so now my face is glued at my laptop.I was playing some game but my attention wasn't in it.
Why did Camila invited me? I mean... she's suppose to hate me after all we've been through. I used her to make Ally fall for me again. I did things that made us feel a little bit uncomfortable. But look what it got me. I ended up falling for her.
"But.... why?"
"Why what?"
I turned aroud and saw Taylor, who's eyes are simply glued to the laptop. She must've been watching me play this game.
"How long have you been there?" I muttered.
"A moment ago." She shrugged. "Do you really know how to play COD?!"
"Uh--what?"
"Oh come on." Taylor pushed me aside then sat there finishing the game. "You need to plant the bomb here, idiot." she sneered.
