My Best Friend's Girlfriend (Camren)

Chapter 22

Camila’s POV:

It was so green. The grass I mean. I was in a meadow. With the breeze gently pressed against my face and the sky being blue and all, it was peaceful. I began to twirl as I saw my dress. It was the most adorable dress I've ever since. It looks good with a deep shade of blue and green. 

Everything was quiet except for the sound of the wind that's whispering in your ears. It was cloudy and everything was blue.

"Camz." 

I turn to that voice's direction and saw Lauren, waving her hands. I ran towards her and gave her a hug. Her grip was tight, like she's gonna hold on to me forever. The smell of vanila lingers in my nose as I pressed my face on her chest. 

"I love you." She whispered gently in my ear. 

I didn't reply but just hold on to her longer. It was warm... and soft. Just holding her makes my heart skip a beat. But the moment I opened my eyes, I was shocked. Just by looking at the person behind her, it made me feel weak and.... broken.

That  face. The face of a boy that I loved and cherished. Austin was there. He smiled at me then walked away.

I tore my grip away from Lauren and look at his direction. He was gone. My breath went faster and deeper as I try to find him. I began to cry... a panicky kind of cry.  

Then I felt two strong arms around me. 

"Everything's gonna be all right." Lauren whispered. "I'll be here for you." 

Then the tears just stop. My heart began to flutter like there's this hole in my heart that's been patched up and fixed. I was lost......and she found me. I was hot with madness.... and she cooled me with her calmness. I was down..... and she helped me stand up. I was broken.... and she fixed me. 

She was the reason why I'm here now. And probably why I'm alive right now. 

"Look at me." She cooed as she cupped my face on her hands making my eyes stare at her piercing green eyes. "I love you, forever and always." 

I just smiled then gently touched her face. "Everything's gonna be all right." She smiled then wiped my tears with her thumb.

"Yeah." I whispered. "Everything's gonna be fine."

I gently opened my eyes and found Lauren staring at me. She was so adorable, just looking at her cute and sincere eyes.

"You were crying at you're sleep." Lauren said, in a worried tone. "Are you all right?" 

I touched her cheek then smiled. "I am now." 

She chuckled then blushed a deep shade of red. "My fever's gone, thanks to you. Honestly, I never felt a single pain in my head nor in my body." 

"Guess, I'm your medicine." I giggled.

"Yeah... The only thing prescribed by the doctor." She chuckled then tuck a strand of hair beside my ear. A soft chuckle escape on my mouth as I stare at her green eyes. It was calm... and soothing.

"You're beautiful, you know that?" She whispered. 

"Why are you telling me this?" 

"Because I love you." She smiled then got up on the bed. "I'm gonna do things slow. So I'll probably do this in the old fashion way."

I giggled then sat up on the bed. "What are you talking about?" 

"I'm gonna court you." She chuckled. "I'm not gonna stop until you tell me that you love me too."
