My Best Friend's Girlfriend (Camren)

Chapter 25

Lauren’s POV:

"Hey dawg!" Dinah waved at me then smiled. I put down my drink and ruffled my hair. I let Camila talked to her friends and classmates at this point because I know she's all mine later. ;D

"Hey, Dinah." I smiled. "What's up?" 

"Nothing, I just wanna hang out with you." She chuckled then grins widely. "I mean, ever since you came at our town, the longest conversation we had was all about 'The Great Beyonce'." 

I cleared my throat then laughed. "Yeah. Sorry." 

Dinah chuckled then stuffed her hands in her pockets. "So...." She clicked her tongue then smiled. "What's the big surprise?" 

"It's a major secret." I smiled. 

"You're no fun. " Dinah snickered then playfully hit me at the shoulder. 

"That's how it works." I laughed then looked at my watch. I still got time. "So how are things with Mani?" 

"She throws tantrums sometimes." Dinah sighed. "She can be a bother. She's also too naive. And a little bit of annoying." She clapped her hands then laughed. "But I love her." 

"Oh my..." I clicked my tongue then patted her back. "A two thumbs up for you." 

"Yeah." She laughed. 

"Dinah Jane Hansen!!" Mani called. She stopped at us grabbed Dinah's face and gave her a kiss, full on the lips. It was kinda awkward watching them. Good thing Dinah broke the kiss. 

"I've been looking everywhere for you." Mani pouted. "I thought I'd lost you." 

"Mani I-" Dinah started.

"You don't love me anymore." Then she cried. I looked at Dinah, wide-eyed. 

"Is she also?" 

"Bipolar, yes." Dinah nodded then carried Mani, bridal style. "I think we should.."

"Why don't you put her in the guest room so that she can rest." I said pointing upstairs. "I don't wanna see her making a ruckus here." 

"Tell me about it." Dinah playfully rolled her eyes then kissed Mani's cheek. "Let's go upstairs, babe." 

"Where are you taking me?" She asks, wrapping her arms around Dinah's neck. "You're not doing anything funny, right?" 

"I'm taking you to Rainbow monkey island." Dinah chuckled. 

"I want to see a Unicorn." She pouted. 

I just laughed as I watched them go upstairs. They're an odd couple. But they are suited for each other. I spotted Camila talking to Cece. They were laughing or giggling , I don't know. All I know is that they're having fun. 

I decided to walk towards them. 

"Shailene is so hot." Cece giggled. "I'm so excited to see the movie!!" 

"I agree." Camila giggled. "And her voice is so husk--"

"Who's hot?" I asked, wrapping my arms around her. She kissed my cheek then smiled. "Shailene Woodley." 

"But I'm way more hotter than her." I pretended to pout then looked at Cece. "Don't you think so?" 

Cece shyly smiled then laughed. "I think Shailene's hotter." 

"I second that." Camila said while wriggling her eyebrows. I pretended to pout then sighed. 

"Fine. She's hotter than me." 

Camila and Cece laughed at my comment. I did what to do so I laugh along with them. A few minutes later, Cece excused herself and left us alone.

"So.." Camila cleared her throat then bit her lip. "What's up?" 

"Nothing." I smiled then pulled her closer. "Is it bad to be with my favorite girl?" 

"No it's just--Laur, you do know what's gonna happen tomorrow." Then the air suddenly became tense. I just tightened my grip around her and kissed her shoulder. 

"I know." I whispered. I forced a laugh and twirl her around to face me. "Let's forget about that now and just have fun okay ?" 

Camila gave me a loving smile then nodded. "Okay." (AN : TFIOS moment there ;)

I cleared my throat and shouted. "Everyone! We'll just make our exit! Continue the party!"

There were a few wolf whistles and cheering. Camila and I just laughed and made our way out of Ally's house. Our hands find their way towards each other and intertwine it. 

"Where are we going?" Camila smiled. 

"Just follow me."

"Why are we here?" Camila asked. We were at the tree. You know, the tree where everything started. I shook my head and smiled. 

"We're gonna do an activity." 

She looked at me wide-eyed and took a step back. "Oh no...." She waved her arms and looked at me like I was crazy. "We're not gonna... Oh no."

"Are you thinking that?" I laughed then ruffled my hair. "No... We're not gonna do that." 

"Then what?" She sheepishly asked.

"I know that you're leaving tomorrow and... " I took a deep breath and sighed. "Let's write letters and put them in a time capsule." 

"That's the surprise?" Camila giggled then walked towards me.

"That's part of it." I smiled. 

"Then there's more?" Camila playfully rolled her eyes then smiled. "You do know I hate surprises." 

"Well princess." I smiled then kissed her hand. "You have to wait." 

She groaned then smiled. "Fine. My letter's gonna blow you away." She smiled then stuck her tounge at me.

"Let's see." I laughed.
