Three years later

Lauren's POV:

"So." I cleared my throat and looked up at the blue sky. "Can you come with me?"

"Where?" Camila asked as she turn to face me.

"J-Just... somewhere."

She looked at me funny then sighed. "Fine." I gently held her hand and lead her towards the entrance of my car.

I ruffled my hair and kept my cool as I start the car. I was shaking so madly that I didn't noticed that Camila's hand was placed on top of mine.

"You okay?" She asked, concerned.

"Never been better." I smiled. I lean over to kiss her cheek before starting the car.

"Why are we at the lake house?" Camila asked, with her fingers laced on mine.

"Nothing." I shrugged then pulled her close to me. "I just wanna spend some time here. Like the good old days."

She leaned her head on my shoulder then sighed. "I miss my grandma."

"Me too. " I sighed. Camila's Grandma passed away two years ago. She left us with her last will and a broken heart. The fact that she hated me before was stuck on my mind. I don't wanna say this but....I miss those moments.

Camila bit her lip then stare at her reflection at the water. "Why do people I care just go and leave me?" She whispered.

I wrapped my arms around her and whispered at her ear. "I'm not gonna leave you." She faced me and cupped her hands on my face. "I know." She smiled then pressed her lips against mine.

The kiss was passionate and warm. Like I said in the letter, the kisses she gave me were so passionate and heart-warming that I'm gonna pass out. I pulled away and kissed her forehead.

"Marry me." I panted.

"W-What?" Camila gasped.

"Marry me, Camz." I chuckled and tuck a strand of hair beside her ear. "I promised your Grandma that I will make you the happiest woman alive." I kissed the tip of her nose and smiled. "And I'm here to make that promise to happen."

A tear slid down on Camila's cheek. "Yes. A million times yes!" She smiled then closed the gap between us.

"Mila, sweetie." My mom sighed then sat at the chair across us. "Don't take this too personal. I know you love my daughter and all. But you're also the reason why she's depressed these past years when you were gone."

"I know." Camila nodded. "You don't need to worry about it anymore." She smiled and held my hand. "I'm not going anywhere."

I smiled and wrapped my arm around her shoulder. She kissed my cheek and snuggled close to me while playing with my fingers.

My mom bit her lip and sighed. "We just wanna ask a question. Do you mind?"

"Please do." Camila smiled.

"Okay." My mom nodded and drank the half-full glass on the table. So I think Dad's the one to ask the question. Chris, Taylor and Harry was looking at us with full of tense. I gulped hard as I squeezed my girlfriend's hand tight.

"Dad, you don't have to--"

"It's okay baby." She assured me.

"Fine." I grumbled and folded my arms on my chest like a 5-year old.
