We all sat in the car happily, Connor was driving because while Hank was under house arrest he wasn't allowed to drive and once he was home, he wasn't aloud out. "Do you think you'll be okay not being able to leave your home lieutenant?" Connor asked. Hank looked at him for a second before saying anything "... You do know you're staying with me, right? Did we not go over this?" Hank was very sarcastic. "...oh yeah." Connor remembered, the way he said it was funny to you and the older man. You both laughed at it and Connor just sat there.
"Thanks again for taking us in." You thanked Hank once more. "Agh, stop thanking me." Was all he said. After that it just fell silent once more. You looked out the window, the snow was still falling heavily and the city was quiet, many people had evacuated when things were going down with... Everything.
You had the briefcase of replacement parts in your lap, you still hadn't gotten around to fixing yourself, you'd been too busy. Hank put on music and of course it was heavy metal. The volume wasn't very high, so Hank turned it up one or two notches, then a minute later did it again, and then again. Before he could do it once more you just pulled yourself forward from the back seat and turned the nob as much as it could go. "Jesus christ!" Connor jumped in his seat at the sudden, very loud music. Hank was laughing, though you couldn't hear it over the noise. Connor lowered it and Hank and you just gave him a look of 'why?' "You'll ruin the speakers... And my eardrums." Connor mumbled. Connor had defiantly become more expressive after becoming a deviant, you liked it, it was the real him.
The car came to a stop in Hanks driveway "man, when was the last time we were here?" You asked nostalgically. "When He was drunk" "when I was drunk" Hank and Connor answered at the same time, making you chuckle at the two.
As you walked up to the door you saw Sumo hop up and rest his paws on the other side of the window "Sumo!" You exclaimed in excitement. Hank unlocked the door and you all entered, you quickly went to go give Sumo pets and all your affection. He licked your face as his tail waged and you just laughed as you tried to avoid his slobber.
"Aw, aren't you a good boy." Hank hummed before he patted the dog on the head before putting food in his bowl. He went to go eat and you got up off the floor. "Well then, I've got a spare bedroom, and a couch. There's no way in hell you two are sharing a room." Hank huffed as he rummaged through his mess of a cabinet. Connors face went blue and you laughed uncomfortably "Hank, we'd never do that in someone else's home. I'll take the couch." You said. "Whatever you say..." Hank just shrugged before pulling out a box full of instant noodle plastic bowls. "Want some?" Hank asked the both of you as he shook the box. "I don't need food to survive, you don't have to waist stuff on me." Connor responded. "Your loss." Was all Hank said.As Hank made his food you took it upon yourself to tidy up just a little bit. Nothing much, just throwing away empty bottles and ramen bowls... He liked instant noodles. Putting magazines in a stack, removing clutter from the dining table "uh uh, scat you cleaning goblin!" Hank shoo'd you away from cleaning. "Go fix your own mess." He handed you the briefcase you had put down somewhere. You rolled your eyes playfully at him before grabbing it. "I can help you." Connor offered. "Na, I got it. Thanks though." You smiled at him before heading to the bathroom. With the click of the door, you removed your shirt to expose the multitude of unhealed wounds that were Windows to your inside wiring. "Finally." You sighed as you opened up the brief case. You replaced the parts in order of easiest to hardest. You looked in the mirror as you carefully removed the electrical tape from a chest cavity that resided right above the center of your ribs. You had made yourself a little pile of tape on the counter, once it was all off, you carefully removed the incompatible biocomponent, you managed to hit a side of it against an exposed wire. It sent a jolt through your body "oh fuck." You cursed. "You okay?" Hank asked through the door, you could hear he had a mouth full of noodles. "Yeah, just hit something." You shrugged it off.
"Where is it?" You quietly asked yourself as you looked for the piece you needed. "Ah ha, got ya." You grabbed it and went back to the mirror. You hummed to yourself as you attached the part to wires, and once it was in, your skin healed over and it felt nice to finally have the right parts.
After maybe an hour you were on your last part, but you couldn't really work on it properly, it was located between your shoulder blades. You huffed as you threw on your shirt and closed the brief case now full of the random parts you had removed, the last biocomponent still in hand.
You walked over to the kitchen and threw out the tape. Connor was sitting at the table reading a book he had found on Hank's bookshelf. Hank was already in bed. "Help." You pouted as you sat down on the floor in front of the android. "What do you need?" He asked as he closed his book. You silently held up the last piece and he grabbed it and scanned over it. "Turn around." He instructed. You scooted until you had your back facing him. "I think Michael had a hard time putting that biocomponent in, so it might be a little difficult to get out." You told the male android. "Well, it's not supposed to be there in the first place, so no shocker there." Connor mumbled as he payed close attention to what he was doing. "Is that sarcasm I hear?" You laughed and turned your head to look over your shoulder at him with a cheeky grin. "NooooOoo." Connor grinned. You laughed and turned your head back around. "How much tape did you have lying around!?" Connor asked as he just took off piece after piece. "Defiantly enough." You responded. He eventually was able to take the biocomponent out and placed it on the table. Your whole body felt tingly and laggy without the piece "woah, that feels weird..." You gasped as you moved your hands and finger from the sensation. "It doesn't hurt, does it?" Connor worried. "Nope, It doesn't hurt at a- gah! That does!" You spoke, but yelped in pain. It was a pulsing pain "oh, shoot. Sorry, wrong wire." Connor panicked for a second as he fixed it. You laughed "it's the blue wire." You joked. "They're all blue!" Connor huffed as he finished and your skin healed over it.
With that you pulled your shirt down and stood up. "Thanks." You smiled at him as you grabbed the tape and the no longer useful biocomponent and threw them out. "No problem." Connor smiled sleepily before letting out a yawn. He took a second "you're tired, genius... I'm tired too." You giggled as you slinked your arms around his neck and rested on his back. "Androids don't get tired." Connor pointed out. "But deviants do, now go to bed." You ordered. "I don't need sleep though." Connor insisted. "Bed. Now. You'll be grumpy if you don't. Your system isn't running on a program anymore so it needs a break." You explained to him like a child. "Fine." You complied and you flopped onto the couch. "You can have the guest bedroom, (Y/N)." Connor offered. "No, you have it. I'm already laying down." You smiled with your eyes closed as you nestled into the cushions of the furniture. "Goodnight." You hummed. "Goodnight." He said before walking to his room.
You were almost asleep but the sound of heavy breathing and the little clink of metal made you open your eyes and look. Sumo came up to you and jumped up on the couch, there was no room for him but you'd make it work, so he payed down and you wrapped your arms around the good boy and fell asleep.
