"Who?" Connor asked, Hank on the other hand knew who you were talking about... Duh. "Does that mean you know who killed her?" Hank asked, he thought it was a better question than asking how she played a roll in your memories. "Sadly no, for now the case is still open unless someone else can find any clues." You seemed very calm and unfazed, unlike how either of the boys in the car thought you'd react to such a thing. "But I was able to remember her after I found a video with her voice! I think if I can find more things like that, I can figure out who would want to kill her in such a fashion." You smiled with determination and excitement. "You seem to be taking the knew information very well... Was she a good person?" Connor asked, unlike Hank, he had no problem with pushing for that information. "Well... I don't really know." You laughed sheepishly. "Apparently she wiped my memories and that's why I can't remember much. But, I have a feeling she wasn't doing it completely on her own decision." You said as you glanced out the window. "What I really want to know is how my memories of the orphanage link to her... Or, I guess it would be multiple people if she seemed to not want to go through with it..." You chewed your lip as you thought aloud. When you noticed how the two in front of you didn't speak, you thought that was enough for that subject.
"So," you chirped as you pulled yourself forward between the two. "This seems like it'll be a quick scene." You finished. "I didn't read over any of the details." Hank admitted. "It seems like a mugging, the person that called it in saw the culprit and they went and hid. It's very plausible that they're trapped wherever they are thanks to police surrounding the area." Connor explained. "Armed?" Hank asked. "No clue! Let's find out!" You shouted as the car came to a stop and you hopped out eagerly. "That's not something to be excited about." Hank grumbled as Connor and him also got out of the car and faced the swarm of police cars, all of them had their blinding lights on.
By the time they'd caught up to you, you were already looking over the body. The victim was an android, that explained why before you arrived none of the cops were really doing anything. Connor crouched down next to you to examine it as well. "Re-activation isn't possible." You told him. "You know what weird though?" You turned your head to look at Connor. Connor hummed in question awaiting your explanation. "If this was a mugging, it would be odd if the victim died with such a content expression." You looked back to their face, they had the smallest smile on their face, their eyes reminiscent of peace. "... That is off-putting." Connor looked up to view their face as well. "Isn't it?" You grinned as you continued scanning over them looking for clues. "You're in a very good mood, I wouldn't think you would be." Connor pointed out. You giggled "Yeah, I guess figuring out why I can't remember anything made me feel a lot better about everything. It's good to know I didn't forget because I didn't care... I know it sounds weird." You tried to explain as you examined the fatal bullet wound. "... It's confirmation that it's not your fault. It takes guilt off your shoulders." Connor knew exactly what you were trying to say. You smiled and nodded your head.
"Did anyone report hearing a gun shot?" You asked a cop that had arrived earlier than you. "Nope." Was all they responded with. "The person that called, where did they say the culprit ran off to?" You asked another question. The officer didn't even bother to use words this time and just pointed to an abandoned building that a couple police officers were standing at all exits. "Why are they just standing there?" Connor mumbled, annoyed at how they weren't going inside. You stood up with a small smile "Connor, if you want to keep coming to work, no negative emotions. Remember?" You gave him a teasing grin as you ruffled his hair. He huffed, amused at your childness as he fixed his hair. You walked off towards the building where Hank was. "So, why does no one know how to do their job?" You asked as you looked around at the cops just sitting there. "They're concerned that the building is unstable, so they refuse to enter." Hank scoffed. "That's a bullshit excuse." You laughed as you looked at the building that clearly wouldn't just collapse. "They just don't care about this case." Hank sighed. "Yeah, I know." You said as you started walking towards a broken window in the building. "What are you doing?" Hank asked. "If they are in there, they're expecting someone to come through a door, right? Catch them by surprise." You explained. "It's not safe to go on your own." Hank protested. "Then I'll just have to be careful." You shrugged with a smile. "Unless you can get through the window as well?" You jabbed jokingly. He huffed before telling you to be careful "I'll come charging in at the slightest sound." Hank told you. You didn't know why this was such a big deal.
