Recovery

Tears drop, splattering
One after another
Watching the fire flare
In front of me

Flames spike around her
Engulfing her body
Leaving her in ashes
Soon to be collected

My sobs rack my body
My friends trying to comfort
Deep down, I know
I'll never recover

Her death has torn me
Destroyed me
And her ashes
Forever a reminder

Nothing will be the same
