unrequited love

4 1 1

Shoulder brushes
In the hall
Scaring me to death

He smiles at me
So warmly so
Warming my heart

I've never felt
Anything like this
It's tearing up my soul

I talk
He listens
Laughs at all the right times

He talks
I listen
He brushes back my hair

Into each other's eyes
We stare
Hoping to see a soul

I'm his best friend
That's all I am
All I'll ever be to him

I'm in love with him
He loves me
My unrequited love

I know he'll never love me
Not in the way I want
I know this for a fact

It's because he's so utterly
Completely, entirely, without a doubt
Gay
