Protective Max

3rd Person POV
Finally after 24 four hours pass by they let all of the teenagers out one at a time. Cory gets out first and he seems perfectly fine. Next Shelby is let out and she's happy to be able to talk to people again. Adam and Jess burst out the doors looking like they haven't seen another person for years. Next is Autumn who has paper close to her chest and hitting anyone that comes near her with her wings. Jin seems relieved to be out. When they let Max out he quickly looks around worried. "Where's Ross?!?" Asks Max frantically. "They're about to let him out." Says Jin as the men open Ross's door. Max walks up to the door and immediately gets shoved to the ground by Ross leaping out and hugging him. "Are you okay Ross?" Asks Max. Ross simply whimpers and continues to hug Max. Max awkwardly hugs back. "What's up with Ross?" Asks Adam. "He has mono-phobia." Answers Max. "Please don't leave me alone again..." Whispers Ross. "Hey we aren't because this is the last test right." Says Max through gritted teeth glaring at the men. "Yes this will be the only test putting you in solitary confinement." Answers the man. "Good." Jess says. "I don't think Ross will be able to handle it again." Says Shelby. "Hey Ross are you ready to let go?" Asks Max. "O-oh I'm sorry..." Says Ross letting go. "It's fine." Replies Max still glaring at the men. We are led back to the room with the cubbies on the walls. They all go to sleep for the night in their cubbies except for Ross and autumn who sits there. Max let Ross sleep in his cubby since Ross was still on edge.
Adam's POV
I wake up in the morning and see everyone else wide awake. "Are Max and Ross still sleeping?" I ask. "It seems so." Answers Jin. "I'm going to check on them." I say hopping up to Max's cubby room thingy. I look inside to see Ross laying on his stomach with his arm over Max's chest. Max is laying on his back with his hands underneath his head and is staring up at the ceiling. "Oh you're awake." I whisper. "Yup." Says Max. "Are you going to get up?" I ask. "Nah. Ross had a rough time being in solitude so let's let him rest." Answers Max. "Ross seems to have gotten more attached to you then any of us. And Shelby is his cousin." I say. "Yeah, Ross is more than just my little bro so I gotta look out for him." Says Max. Ross slowly opens his eyes up and yawn. "Finally about time you wake up." Says Max. "Mornin.." Mumbles Ross. "How are you feeling?" Asks Max. "A little paranoid still but much better." Yawns Ross. "Good to hear." I say. "Oh morning Adam." Says Ross rubbing his eyes. "Looks like you're finally awake sleepy head!" Says Shelby walking in. "Yup, I'm awake now." Replies Ross. "Let's head down to the floor." I say hopping down as the others follow. "Good morning!" Says Jess gleefully. "How's everyone doing?" Asks Jin. "We're fine." Answers Max nearly falling off the platform. Ross chuckles at Max a little getting a glare from him. The door slams open and I dodge it this time. "Can't get me twice nerd!" I shout."We will be conducting more test today." Says the man. "No I'm not going into solitude again!" Exclaims Ross hiding behind Max. "Hey it's okay they already promised they wouldn't do that again. Right?" Max says snapping at the man. "Yes, we do not intend to put you in solitude again." Answers the man. "O-okay." Ross says slowly stepping out from behind Max. "Now please follow." Says the man leading us into a room. "What are we doing today?" Asks Autumn. "We are going to put these things on your head to track your emotions as we show you different pictures." Answers the man. We sit in the chairs and put the wires and stuff on our heads before being shown a picture of food. I immediately start to drool a little. They show us picture after picture. The first 20 or so weren't that bad but the pictures gradually started getting depressing. "May we stop looking at these, now." Asks Shelby. "Yeah it's kinda depressing." Says Jess. "I don't want to do this anymore." Adds Ross. "This is very unsettling." Max says. "I'm taking these things off and leaving." Says Cory getting up. "I am leaving." Autumn says getting up too. "I want to get out of here!" I say. "Alright testing will end here." Says the man as we all get up. He leads us down the hallway and back to our room. It looks normal at first but all of the cubbies are furnished. The ones we sleep in are bedrooms, there a living room one, and the other 3 left are just filled with pillows. "Well this is a nice change for once." Says Max. "Yeah we finally have beds like normal people!" Says Jess running up to her room and flopping on the bed.
