Jin's POV
In the middle of training Beta walks on the room. "What do you want?" Asks Cory. "We need to conduct more tests, though this time it won't be dangerous if you cooperate." Answers Beta. "What happens if we don't?" Asks Shelby. "Consequences." Answers Beta. "Why do you always have to be so secretive?!?" Whines Adam. "She works for the government, you can't just go spewing out information." Explains Ty. "Precisely." Confirms Beta. "What type of test are we doing, I've only ever done the ones in the tubes." Says Red. "I wanna know to!" Blurts Kaitlyn. "Fairly easy test." Says Beta. "Why do you need so much information." Asks Lyna. "Comparisons." Says Beta. "For what?" Asks Max. "That's classified." Answers Beta. Max frowns at Beta, his tail twitching from irritation. "Why did you make hybrids like us anyways?" I ask. "I don't have an answer to that question yet, I simply help with the program." Answers Beta. "She's telling the truth." Says Max. "I still don't understand why you would ever do this type of thing to another human?!?" Says Shelby. "It's not right!" Adds Jess."The line between right and wrong has been blurred so much that I can no longer tell the difference." Says Beta.
Cory's POV
Everyone goes silent after what Beta says. She leads us into a plain white room in the shape of a cube. "What is this place?" Asks Lyna. "A place to test your powers freely." Answers Beta. "Well who goes first?" Asks Kaitlyn. "The one who goes by Adam." States Beta. "Why me?" Asks Adam. "Because all experiments have been given a generation and number. Generation 1 number 1 goes first and so on." Explains Beta. "Okay I guess I'll go." Says Adam. Adam stands in the middle of the room, and that's it. "Wow, much amazing, such power." I say sarcastically. "His power is being indestructible, what's he supposed to do?" Asks Jess. "Someone could attack him." Says Jin. "Or I can do this!" Shouts Adam, sprinting straight into a wall. He falls to the ground perfectly fine and a huge grin on his face. "Alright then next is Gen 1 number 2, or Ty." Says Beta. Ty cracks his knuckles before looking over at Jin. He raises his hand up and makes Max's Z necklace fly up in the air. "Give it back!" Shouts Max. Ty returns it and turns to stare at Lyna. He raises his hands in front of him and a barrier with a slight red tint materializes. "This is awesome!" Says Ty. "Be careful." Says Lyna. "What, wh-" Starts Ty. The barrier breaks and sends Ty flying back at least 5 feet. "What happened?" Asks Shelby. "My physical barriers are created by concentrating my energy into a tangible form, if you can not control your energy very well then it becomes unstable and explodes." Explains Lyna."That would've been nice to know earlier..." Mutters Ty. "Well we must move on to number 3, or Jess." Says Beta. "Adam if you run into the wall again you're going to bump into Jin who will then accidentally use his telekinesis to send you flying." Says Jess. "Watch me!" Says Adam running into the wall again. He does so triggering all the events Jess just explained. "Let's mark off 3 and 7 and move to 4, Max." Says Beta. "Well I can read minds and create links with everyone around, but that gives me a headache." Says Max. "Then what am I thinking?" Asks Beta. "That Adams an idiot for running into the wall twice." Says Max. "Alright checking you off and going to Ross now." Says Beta. "Hey!" Exclaims Adam. "Hey it's true." Says Red. "Alright I'm not liking the new kid so much now." Says Adam. "So you want to test me now?" Asks Ross. "Yes, and please demonstrate both powers." Says Beta. "O-okay." Says Ross. He jumps up, flying upwards into the air before gliding back down."Good." Responds Beta.
Adam's POV
Ross tries to walk away but Beta stops him. "You still have another power." She says. "Yeah but how am I suppose to show you it, it's more of a mental power than physical." Says Ross. "Were going to put a blindfold on you, have everyone move around, and have you locate your red headed friend." Explains Beta. "Oh, okay." Says Ross. Beta pulls out a piece of cloth and hands it to Ross. He ties it around his eyes and stands in the center of the room. Everyone runs around him and then pauses. "Find Max now." Commands Beta. Ross takes a step out and turns around. I quietly walk in front of Ross to test his power. "Adam move out of the way!" Whines Ross, trying to dodge me. "But it's too much fun!" I say, stepping in front of Ross. He continues to pout before jumping right over me and gliding through the air. Ross directs himself towards Max but goes over him, slamming into the wall."Ow..." mumbles Ross as he slide down the wall. "Con you not see the wall?" Asks Max. "No, only people." Answers Ross. "Good to know." Says Beta, writing down notes."So am I next?" Asks Shelby. "Yes you are." Says Beta. "Okay!" Chirps Shelby as she turns invisible. "Good, time for Jin's turn." Says Beta. Jin looks up and lifts his hand in the air, commanding my purple amulet to float in the air. "Hey, give it back!" I pout. "Okay here." Says Jin, gently ropping it down."Now time for Cory's demonstration." Says Beta. "Okay." Says Cory stepping forward. He has his hand behind his back. He pulls his hand out front showing he has a gun. "How did you get that?!?" Asks Kaitlyn. "All you need to know is that I got the gun!" Grins Cory. "This seems familiar." I say. "It's new to me." Says Ty. "Well you weren't there when it happened." Says Jin. "How often does he steal things off the workers?" Asks Red. "I don't know, he just does." Says Shelby. "Let us leave now and no one gets hurt." Says Cory. Beta walks up to Cory making him flinch. He raises the gun up more. "I will use it!" Shouts Cory. Beta grabs the gun from his hand. "Impressive, it actually has a physical form." Says Beta before tossing it to the ground. The second it hits the gun disappears into thin air. "Wait what?" I ask.
Shelby's POV
Cory stands there, his tail twitching from frustration. "You're power won't trick me." Says Beta. "Never know if you never try." Says Cory. "Well let's just move to Lyna now." Says Beta. Lyna steps up and raises her hands in front of her. A blue translucent barrier forms in front of her. Ty walks up to it, poking it. "A lot better then mine." He says. "That because I've had practice." Says Lyna. "Okay good, time for Kaitlyn." Says Beta. "Okay, lay down Cory!" Chirps Kaitlyn. Cory instantly lays down. "Hey wait!" He shouts. "Sit Adam!" Commands Kaitlyn. Adam sits down. "How are you doing that?!?" Asks Adam."Alright, play dead Max!" Says Kaitlyn. Max stands there, I can see him attempting to fight the urge to follow her command. "Play dead." Repeats Kaitlyn. Just like that Max falls over and stays still. "Impressive." Says Beta. "Is it my turn?" Asks Red. "Yes." Answers Beta. "Alright!" Says Red, cracking his knuckles. He closes his eyes then snaps his fingers. In an instant we're inside a forest. "What the!" I exclaim. "How did we get here?" Asks Jess. "It's not logical!" Shouts Jin. "You can break the illusion now." Says Beta. "Awww, already?" Says Red. "Yes." Says Beta. "Fine..." Pouts Red. He snaps his fingers again and the surrounding fades away, revealing to be the room we were in before the forest appeared out of nowhere. "What happened?" Asks Max. "I have the power of illusions!" Exclaims Red"That's cool I guess." Says Ross. "Lastly Autumn." Beta says Autumn stands in the middle and create a white translucent shield.
