New guy?

Cory's POV
Walking down the hallways we see a door.
Experiment: 2 (2)
Hybrid: Dinosaur
Ability: Illusions
"A dinosaur?" I ask. "Should we let them out?" Asks Ty. "Why not." Shrugs Jin. He places his hand in the lock until it clicks, opening the door. I look inside and see a red haired boy with a red dinosaur tail turn to look at me. He has red dinosaur scales the are on his elbow and up to his neck. "Oh hi, I'm Red!" Chirps Red. "Well looks like you're free now." I say. "Cool!" Says Red walking out of his room. "Hey I'm Adam." Says Adam. "I'm Jess, that's Jin, Cory's right there, She's Shelby, Ty is next to Adam,that's Autumn,Max is also right there holding the unconscious Ross." Says Jess. "Why is he unconscious?" Asks Red. "He might have fatal injuries." Says Ty. "Oh, well what are you guys doing?" I ask. "Trying to escape." Says Max. "Why?" Asks Red. "Because the government is evil and experimenting on us!" Exclaims Shelby."Evil?" Asks Red. "Yes evil!" I say. "The government saved my life!" Says Red. "Well then what about the painful experiments they conduct?" Asks Jin. "Sure it might hurt but it's for a greater good, if they can perfect it then they can help cure cancer and all types of diseases so people won't die from them anymore, plus like I said earlier they did save me." Says Red. "How can you even still like them after all the pain they put you through?" Asks Jess."It might be painful, but I'm willing to take it if it takes away the pain from others." Says Red. "The government is putting the lives of innocent kids at risk, and they're lying to you so you won't run away." Says Max in a harsh tone. "Why would they lie to me, they wouldn't lie, right?" Red says in an uncertain tone. "Look at what they did to Ross, this isn't helping him, it's only hurting!" Says Adam. "Plus none of them think about what Red is talking about so they're probably lying sorry." Says Autumn. "How would you know what they think about?" Asks Red. "Max and Autumn can read minds." Says Shelby. "Oh..." says Red. "Do you see what we're saying now?" I ask. "I guess, but they can't be as bad as you say." Says Red. "You've just been living under an illusion then." Says Max. "Come with us and see." Says Jess
Ty's POV
We walk down the hallway with Red looking around in awe. "Have you never gone out here before?" I ask. "No, they normally don't let me." Says Red. I hear Ross start to cough behind us and I turn to see he's now waking up. "Hey Ross, you okay?" Asks Max. "I think I am." Says Ross. "What happened?" Asks Red. "He had some weird experiment conducted on him." Says Shelby. "Who's the new guy?" Asks Ross. "That's Red, he's with us." Says Adam."Can you keep moving Ross?" Asks Jess."We can't force you to go if you don't feel well." Says Cory. "I'm fine." Mumbles Ross letting out a few more coughs. "We really are going to have to ask them for help, aren't we?" Says Max. "It would be the best thing to do." Says Jess. "Let's try to find Roxy." I say. "Yeah, we can't leave her behind." Says Shelby. And once again we continue our search.
Jess's POV
I continue walking ahead of the others, searching around for any rooms that might have Roxy. "Hey guys." Says Ross. "What's up?" Asks Max. "I think Roxy is up ahead and to the left." Says Ross"How do you know that?" I ask. "I'm not sure, I just do." Answers Ross. "Let's just try it, we really don't have anything to lose." Says Adam. All of us go ahead and turn to the left like Ross said. In front of us is a door. Hesitantly I open it and look inside. The room has five chambers, one of them containing Roxy in a blue liquid. "I've been here before!" Says Red. "You have?" Asks Shelby. "Yeah, they bring me here if I get any injuries." Says Red. "That's the same stuff they put Ross in!" Says Max. Everyone walks in the room and looks at Roxy. She stirs awake and looks at us. She starts talking but no words are heard."Wait what?" Asks Adam. "Press the button." Says Jin. Ty reaches over and presses it. "What are you guys doing here?!?" Repeats Roxy. "We're here to get you out." Says Ty. "You can't get me out now, not while I'm in this thing!" Says Roxy. "Well we got Ross out!" Says Max. "Why would you do that, there's a reason they put us in healing chemicals!" Shouts Roxy. "What do we do then?!?" Max asks in a panic. "Get Beta or anyone!" Answers Roxy. "I hate this, why do we have to ask them for help." Says Cory. "Jess, Adam, Ty, and I can go try to find someone, Jin, Cory, Autumn, Shelby, And Red stay here with Ross and Roxy." Commands Max. We all go along with his plan because of the distress in his eyes. "Are you okay Max?" I ask. "Yeah, I'm fine." Says Max, speeding up his pace. "How are we supposed to find someone?!?" Whines Adam. "I see something, turn right!" I command. Max is quick to turn running into Beta. "How did you Hybrids get out?" Questions Beta. "Please, you have to help Ross!" Begs Max. I can really tell Max is desperate, he has never in his life begged. Beta looks down at him. "Lead me to him." Says Beta. Max immediately jumps up and shows her the way. In no time we make it back to the room.
Cory's POV
I wait for Max and the others to get back. I look over to see Ross falling over. Autumn grabs him before he hits the ground. "Dude, are you okay?" Asks Jin. "You aren't even able to stand by yourself!" I exclaim. "I'm pretty sure he's dying." Says Red. Jin, Autumn, Shelby, and I stare at Red. "You aren't helping." Says Shelby. Letting out a sigh I look back over to see Ross has passed out. "Oh just great!" I say. Bursting through the doors I see Beta come through. "Right on time!" Says Jin. Max runs over to Ross. "What happened to him?!?" Max asks frantically. "I don't know, he just passed out." I say. "That isn't good." Says Beta while setting up one of the chambers. She grabs Ross and sets him in it. Some machines add a bunch of sensors and stuff to check his vitals and whatnot. Soon enough he has and oxygen mask and the chamber fills with the blue chemical. Beta walks over and starts doing some sciency stuff on Roxy's chamber. Max walks up to Ross's chamber and stares at it. Beta reappears Roxy from her chamber and turns to Max. Max turns to look at her. "What is it?" Asks Beta. "I want you to stop experimenting on Ross like this." States Max. "We need someone to test on." Says Beta. "Then exchange me for him." Says Max, raising his hand to his chest. Beta lifts her eyebrow. "Are you sure, we chose your friend over there because he had the highest chance of survival, you in the other hand would be one of the ones we choose not to experiment like this since you would be one of the ones most likely to die." Explains Beta. "I don't care. Just stop it on Ross." Commands Max. "Then I will change it, but he'll have to stay in this chamber for the time being if you want him to live." Says Beta. She turns around and walks out the door, leaving us alone. "Why would you exchange yourself! He's more likely to survive than you!" Exclaims Roxy. "I won't let them hurt Ross anymore..." says Max, clenching his fist. "Yeah, this probably wasn't the smartest decision ever." Says Red. "I. Don't. Care." Max says slowly. "This could put you in serious danger!" Says Shelby. "It's okay with me." Says Max. "Well what happens if you die!" I say."Then I die." Says Max. "What happens to Ross then?" Asks Autumn. Max goes silent. "How would Ross feel knowing he was the reason you were experimented on and killed?" Asks Jin. "I won't die then." Says Max. "Make up your mind dude!" Exclaims Ty."You can't control everything that happens." Says Jess. "Then watch me." Says Max, staring up at Ross.
Ross's POV
I wake up, my vision slowly coming into focus. I'm staring straight up at the ceiling. Focusing my vision I see Max sitting up, but he's sleeping and leaning on his arm for support. Finally I realize my head is resting in his lap. Gently I sit up blushing and look to see we're in a furnished room with everyone else but Roxy. Max stirs next to me and a worried look washed over his face. His eyes flutter open and he looks down at his lap. He jerks and looks over to see I'm sitting next to him. He let's out a sigh. "What's going on?" I ask. "You were finally taken out of that weird blue liquid." Says Max. "How long was I out?" I ask. "A day." Answers Max. "Woah!" I say. "Yup, we're stuck in here for now because they wanted to do a special experiment or something." Explains Max. "So then where's Roxy?" I ask. "Still in the chamber." Answers Max. The door opens up quietly. We freeze waiting for something to happen. Nothing. "What the?" Questions Max walking up to the door. I follow right on his heels and peek out around the door. The entire facility appears dimly lit and slightly eerie. "Should we go out?" I ask. Max looks back at everyone before back at me. "Sure." Answers Max. We walk out into the hallways and look around. I sense someone following us. It's Red. I stop in my tracks and Max looks at me confused. "You can stop stalking us Red!" I say.Red flinches and let's out a little gasp. Max looks back at him. "Wait how did you?" Starts Max. "Soul sensory." I answer. "Oh right..." Mumbles Red. "Why are you following us anyways?" Asks Max. "I've never done anything like this before, I've always just blindly followed the rules without question, but now I want to do something exciting!" Explains Red. "Fair enough." I say, walking down the hallway. Exploring the labyrinth that is the facility, we come across another room. We open the doors together to find 2 people being held in cells. One of them looks up at us. It's a girl with blue and white hair. One eye is silver and purple while the other is a light blue. She has bunny ears on top of her head which are currently standing up. The second girl looks up at us. She had pig ears with dark brown hair and even darker brown eyes. She's really short just like Jess. Max, Red, and I walk up to the second girls cell and see a keypad. "How are we supposed to guess a 5 letter word?" Asks Red. "I know what you're saying and don't even!" Exclaims Max. "Bacon." Says the first girl. "You beat me to it." I say. "Bacon?" Asks Red. "Let's try it." I say. Quickly I input it and the cell opens. "Thanks! I'm Kaitlyn by the way!" Says the second girl. "How do these pass codes keep working?!?" Shouts Max. "Please get me out now." Says the first girl. We look at her keypad. "6 letters this time." Says Red. "You know what I'm thinking, don't you." I say. "I can literally hear it." Says Max. "So you can read minds?" Asks Kaitlyn."Yup." Says Max. "Don't you have control of it?" Asks Red. "Yes I do but I automatically read Ross's mind since he normally doesn't like to talk in front of new people or the government." Explains Max. "Well I'm putting in carrot." I say. Success once again as the cell opens. The girl walks out and looks at us. "Thank you, I am known as Lyna." Says the girl. "I'm Max, he's Ross." Says Max pointing at me. "And I'm Red!" Exclaims Red.
Max's POV
Kaitlyn seems to be pretty nice and trustworthy but I'm not 100% sure about Lyna. She seems emotionless and I don't know why but it makes her feel more unpredictable. "Isn't it getting late?" Asks Kaitlyn."They're probably going to catch us." Says Lyna. "We've done this before." I say. "Oh my gosh do you have a dinosaur tail!" Exclaims Kaitlyn, running up to Red. "Yup!" Says Red proudly. "How! I thought they could only do real animals that are still alive and mammals?!?" Says Kaitlyn. "Generation 2 baby!" Says Red. "So you're apart of the infamous Generation 2 I've heard of!" Says Kaitlyn. "Exactly!" Says Red. "We should probably go back to our room, others are coming." Says Ross. "Okay." Says Lyna. We walk back in an awkward silence. I read Kaitlyn's mind and hers is a little all over the place. From Lyna's mind I get almost nothing."You're trying to read my mind, aren't you?" Asks Lyna. "How'd you know?" I ask. "I didn't, just guessed. My power is to create protective barriers, both physical and mental." Explains Lyna. "That makes more sense." I say. "What's your power Kaitlyn?" Asks Red."I can talk to animals and have them do what I want them to." Says Kaitlyn."Prove it." I say. "Alright, lay down Max!" Says Kaitlyn.Suddenly without thinking I lay down on the ground. "Wait what?!?" I exclaim. "So it works on us too." Says Ross. "I guess so." Says Kaitlyn. "Don't abuse that power." I say. "I won't!" Chirps Kaitlyn. Soon we make our way back to the room we were placed in. Nobody else seems to have woken up yet. Ross and I go back to sleeping on the couch while Red, Kaitlyn, and Lyna lay down in some pillows in the ground. I feel Ross lean against my shoulder right before I fall asleep. "Wake up!" Shouts Shelby. "Ahhh!" Ross and I screech as we tumble onto the ground. I land with a loud thud and Ross awkwardly levitates above the ground, attempting to stand up. "About time you woke up!" Says Adam. "She did the same to me." Autumn says "Since when have there been new people?" Asks Ty. "Since the middle of the night." Yawns Red. "Hi!" Says Kaitlyn. "Hello." Says Lyna. "How many people is the government going to experiment on?" Asks Jin. "As many as they want until they're busted." Says Cory. "We'll find some way to stop it." Says Adam.
"What are your powers ?" Cory asks
"Barriers both mentally and physically."
"Control animals." They reply
"Can you teach me the barriers? I have the ability to copy powers." Autumn says. Lyna nods.
