New problems and people

Ty's POV
Beta continues to write down notes of some sort. "Do you know where the others have been?" Asks Red. "Oh, them." Says Beta. "Yeah, them." Says Red. "They've been but on a little break you could say, they're actually coming back today." Says Beta. "Yay!" Shouts Red. "Can we meet them?" I ask. "Sure, just follow me." Says Beta. We silently follow her down a hallway and walk into a room filled with the chambers, one containing Roxy. "Why's Roxy still here?" I ask. "She's very unstable due to her type of hybrid, I'm not even sure she'll survive." Explains Beta."W-what do y-you mean?" Asks Red. "The second generations are unstable due to them being either extinct or completely made up creatures." Says Beta. "What about me then?!?" Asks Red and Autumn . "I'm not sure." Says Beta. "Hey, calm down Red." Soothes Adam. Jin hums to soothe Autumn. "Lyna, Kaitlyn, I'll need you to step in the tubes, you're a little unstable right now." Says Beta. "Okay." Says Lyna. "Sure!" Chirps Kaitlyn. Beta sets up the chambers and quickly they fill with the blue liquid. "Follow me again." Says Beta. We're lead into a room. 2 boys turn to look at us. The first one has an eyepatch and is a dinosaur hybrid like Red. The difference is that he has purple scales with green spikes. The second boy is wearing a black shirt with a red square on it, in the center of the square is a white M. He has brown hair, orange cat ears and tail. "Barney, Nick!" Shouts Red running up to them. "Red!" They shout simultaneously. The rest of us watch Red, Barney, and Nick reunite and chatter. Beta slips out of the room leaving us there. "Guys meet Barney and Nick!" Chirps Red. "Hi, I'm Cory!" Says Cory holding out his hand. Nick walks up and shakes it."Nick." He says with a huge grin. Cory looks dazed and doesn't seem to be responding."Looks like Cory.exe has quit responding." Comments Shelby. Max makes a fake cough, causing Cory to snap back to reality."Oh sorry about that!" Says Cory, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck. "That's fine." Says Nick. "So do you guys have powers?" Asks Adam excitedly. "I's can seeing through walls!" Says Barney. "And I can create energy blast like from Dragon Ball, just much much weaker." Says Nick. "That sounds pretty awesome." Says Jin. "Yeah show us!" I say. "This is going to be exciting!" Exclaims Jess. Nick takes a step back and holds his hand in front of him. He concentrates and a small orb the size of a baseball forms. It's glowing yellow. "That's amazing!" Awes Cory. "Is he not goings to talk?" Asks Barney pointing to Ross. "You okay bud?" Asks Max. "I'm just cold." Says Ross shivering a little. "This can't be good." I say. Jess's POV
"What happened to him?" Asks Nick. "Testing." Red says flatly. "That's no goods." Says Barney. "Someone's coming." Says Ross. Right on cue we see Beta open up the door. "I need Max and Ross to come with me please." Says Beta. Max and Ross go without any hesitation. "So what now?" Asks Adam. "Here follow me!" Says Nick running out the door. Everyone follows him, Cory directly behind him. Nick leads us into a well furnished room with 4 couches, 6 beds, 2 tables, 8 chairs, and too many pillows to count. "Why do they like pillows so much?" Asks Shelby. "I don't knows." Says Barney. We all settle down and sit down on something in silence. "How bad of a condition is Ross in?" Asks Nick breaking the silence. "We're not sure, but I'm sure he'll make it." Says Autumn. "That's good to hear." Says Nick. "So how long have you been here?" Asks Cory. "Since I was a really young child." Answers Nick. "Sames here." Adds Barney. "The government basically raised me." Says Red. "What about you?" Nick asks back. "Same situation as you." Says Cory. "So am I the only one that was recently abducted?" Asks Jin. "I suppose." I answer."Abduct?" Says Nick questionable. "Not you guys too!" Exclaims Adam. "What's that mean?" Asks Barney. "The government is a bad place, anything they've told you is a lie!" Says Cory. "N-no, Cory's lying, right Red." Says Nick. Red looks down at the ground, pulling his red hoodie over his head. "You mean they've been lying to us!" shouts Nick."I'm afraid so..." Red says quietly. "Nos it can'ts be." Says Barney in disbelief. "I should've known." Mumbles Nick. "I wonder what they're going to do to Ross and Max." Autumn says abruptly. "Only time will tell." Says Ty.
Max's POV
Beta separates me and Ross from everyone else. "How can you do this?" I ask. "What do you mean?" Asks Beta. "You send us into danger, experiment, test, basically abuse us, how can you say what do you mean!" I shout. "Oh that." Says Beta. "How can you hurt us so much?" Ross asks quietly. Beta stays silent for a minute before answering. "After being forced to work here for so long you become numb, emotionless, I guess it's just a way to cope with the guilt." Explains Beta. "How can you just stand by and do nothing!" I sneer. "You think I didn't try!" Beta says raising her voice. I freeze in my tracks, she's never shown any emotion before. Beta looks down at me and quickly calms back down, acting like nothing happened. "We must go now." She says. I follow her silently until we come inside a room with 5 chambers. "How many chambers do you need?" Asks Ross. "They all do slightly different things, and that can make the biggest difference." Answers Beta as she sets them up. "I thought you said you were going to stop testing on Ross like this." I say. "I have, he just need to be healed again due to his vitals becoming unstable again." Explains Beta. "I guess that's okay." I say. "Maxi I don't want you to be tested on like me." Says Ross. "It's already too late." I say. Ross looks at me with puppy dog eyes. Well it's more like puppy fox eyes since we're both fox hybrids. "I'm sorry, what's done is done Ross, I'll be experimented on with the mysterious chemicals or whatever." I say. Ross continues to stare at me, his eyes going from begging to sadness. "No, Ross, stop that!" I whine. He continues to stare at me. Without warning a single tear slips down his cheek. "Ross..." I say quietly. Ross walks up and pulls me into a tight embrace. I hug him back, patting his back. "I don't want to lose you Maxi!" Ross cries softly. "I promise I'll come back, always." I say. "You better, otherwise I don't know what I'll do." Says Ross then mumbles something I didn't hear, breaking apart our hug. "Please step inside the chamber Ross." Commands Beta. He steps inside and has a mask put on him. It knocks him out and soon he's floating in the blue liquid again. "Alright Max, you're turn." Beta says, motioning me to stand inside the other tube. I put on the mask and it fills up with a yellow chemical. "Why is it yellow?" I ask. "It's purpose is to enhance the abilities you already have or give you new ones, it is undetermined which it'll be." Answers Beta. I feel my eyelids becoming extremely heavy. Before I know it my eyes close and I fall asleep.
