Ty's Mom

Ross's POV
Like always, I crawl into Max's room and sleep with him. I get woken up by him shaking me in the morning. "What..." I moan. "Come on buddy, we got games and Max and Cheese downstairs!" Says Max in a cheerful yet quiet voice. "Okay I'm up..." I mumble sitting up. Max drags me out of bed and down the stairs, leading me to the kitchen and handing a bowl of Mac and Cheese to me. "Thanks man." I say. All of us quickly eat our Mac and Cheese, well except for Adam who just eats a sandwich and Autumn who's holding the plush floating side ways sleeping. "You guys wanna test your games out?" Asks Ty. "Yeah, I've been wanting to so badly!" Says Jess. "Let's just play already!" Says Cory grabbing his game and loading it up. We all start to play our games, talking and laughing with each other. Then we hear a knock on the door. Frozen in place we stare at the door. "Go upstairs!" Whispers Ty grabbing a hoodie off a couch to cover his wings. We all do as he says and run upstairs to hide after grabbing Autumn and waking her up. Using our enhanced hearing we listen in to what goes on downstairs. Hearing the door open we hear a gasp from Ty. "Hey sweetheart!" Says a women. "Mom!" Exclaims Ty. "Have you been having guest over?" Asks Ty's mom. "They've been camping out here because they're like me." Says Ty. "Can you ask them to come downstairs?" Asks Ty's mom. "Okay." Says Ty looking up. Everyone walks down with no problem while Autumn and I stay up at the top, hesitant to go down. "You okay bud?" Asks Max. I simply stare at him. "Still shy around new people I see." Says Max. I nod my head at him. "I'm not going down there that woman is not normal I will be asleep." Autumn says walking off to her room. "You're going have to come down eventually." Says Max. I look down at Ty's mom, leaning over the rail. Behind me I see Shelby reappear and shove me off the railing."Hey!" I shout floating down. Then she disappears again. I hear a gasp from Ty's mother. "It's okay, we've all developed powers!" Says Ty. "Since when?" Asks Ty's mother."I don't know, a week or something I guess." Says Adam shrugging. "No shelby that person isn't normal. No I refuse!!" Shelby eventually drags Autumn down. I land on the ground and walk to where the others are, pouting at a giggling Shelby. "So what is everyone's powers?" Asks Ty's mother. "I can make my eyes turn red, when they're like that I can copy other people powers." Says Ty. "I turn invisible!" Chirps Shelby. "Whatever I imagine I can create." Says Cory. "I'm indestructible!" Shouts Adam. "I can see the future and possible outcomes." Says Jess. "I have telekinesis." Says Jin. "I can read minds and Ross does the floaty thing and Autumn..." Says Max before getting cut off by autumn "And I haven't discovered mine yet."
Max's POV
I read the mind of Ty's mother to make sure she wasn't for the government and was working against them like Ty stated. There was nothing bad but nothing good since it seemed her thought were clear or empty.I look over at Ross who seems more timid then usual. Yes he acts shy around new people but usually not this shy. Suddenly I heard his and Autumns voices in my head.
Max, something doesn't feel right.
What do you mean?
The atmosphere she puts off, it just doesn't feel right.
I agree.
I look at Ross and Autumn and see the slight fear behind their eyes. If there's anything I've learned over the years it's to trust Ross's instincts. I don't know how or why but so far they've always been right. "Max, Ross,Autumn?" Asks Jin. We snap out of our private conversation and look at everyone else. "I'm glad you didn't have too much can trouble with the other government workers." Says Ty's mother. She leaves, walking upstairs. As she leaves our site Ty's smile quickly fades. "What's wrong man?" Asks Cory. "She's acting slightly off." Says Ty. "How off?" Asks Adam. "She isn't usually this accepting of me having other people here, she is normally at the very least gets slightly annoyed." Explains Ty. "So you mean she's not herself?" I ask. "Basically." Says Ty, staring up blankly at the stairs his mother just walked. "Should we worry or what's up?" Asks Adam. "I'm not sure." Answers Ty. I see Autumn let her wings spread out and puts the plush and her phone in between them then closes her wings making a sort of cocoon of wings around the items.
Jin's POV
Waiting a couple minutes after Ty's mother went upstairs everyone continues to play their games and Autumn goes to make food while me and Ty sit back and watch. I notice Ty staring blankly where his mom walked off. "You okay man?" I ask. "Oh yeah, I'm fine." Says Ty. "You sure?" I ask. "Yeah, just worried I guess..." Answers Ty. Autumn comes back sits floating in the air eating pancakes with Strawberries and Nutella. "About what?" I question. "It's just my mom, she works for the government and they have so many different projects going on, what if she gets pulled into one?" Says Ty. Ty's mother (Alexia) comes back down the stairs and stops to look at us. Ross and Autumn seems on edge and hides behind Max when she entered the room. "I'm sorry but I have to leave for work again." She says. "Oh okay..." Says Ty. "I'll see you all later." She says, giving us a smile before walking out the door. "You okay ?" Asks Shelby. "What do you mean?" Asks Ross. "Well you're acting really shy, even for you!" Says Cory to Ross. "Normally you don't act that fidgety unless somethings wrong." Says Adam. "She's just... no offence ty but she just not normal." Autumn answers. Ross stays silent. "Wait a minute," Says Jess slowly approaching Ross "Your sensing something again, aren't you?" Asks Jess. "Yeah..." Mumbles Ross. "Wait, what are you talking about?" Asks Ty. "Ross has this like sixth sense that tells him when something feels wrong or off, and basically that sense went off when your mom came." Explains Max."So there is something wrong." Says Ty. "Afraid so." Says Cory."What if it's wrong though?" Asks Ty. "It's never been wrong so far." I say.Ty let's out a sigh, slumping down in his chair. "Sorry dude." Says Adam. "No it's okay, it's not your fault." Says Ty, covering his face with his hand.We all sit around in a silence, so quiet in fact we could hear our own heartbeat. "Did you hear anything Max, from my mom?" Asks Ty. "That's the problem, I didn't, it was like she wasn't even thinking." Answers Max. "That doesn't sound good." Says Ross. "I don't think it is." Says Shelby.
Adam's POV
All of us sit there in silence. "I honestly don't know how to feel." I say. "Me neither." Replies Ty. "What do we do now?" Asks Jin. "Well we could continue, I'm sure it's nothing too serious!" Says Ty putting on a fake smile. "Okay then..." Says Cory. Everyone awkwardly starts to play games and eating and floating again, soon becoming comfortable. Ty and I sit back to watch everyone. I notice Ty staring at Jess. In a split second I saw his eyes turn red then back to normal. Why would he need her powers? Pretty soon night starts to dawn on us. Like normal people we become tired heading off to bed. While walking upstairs I notice Ty stare at Cory and copy his powers. I stop and turn to him. "Okay, why have you been copying people's powers?" I ask. "Practice makes perfect." Says Ty, giving me an awkward smile. I stare at him a couple seconds before letting out a sigh and going into the bedroom. I flop down on the bed and almost instantly fall asleep. I hear a banging on my balcony door. Getting up to see how the noise was being created I see Max and Ross standing there. "How did you get here!" I whisper. "Ross floats but that's not important right now!" Max whispers frantically. "Wait what's happening?" I ask. "They're here!" Exclaims Ross. Right on cue my door flys open with men in suits standing there. "Not again!" Whines Ross. "I'll hold them off!" I say. Ross and Max jump off the side of the balcony as I charge the men. They try hitting me only to fail. One of them pulls out some a taxer and shocks me, leaving me paralyzed. "I guess I'm not immune to tasers..." I mumble to myself. Down below I hear shouting. "Let go of him!" Says Max. "What's going on?" Asks a scared Shelby. "I'm not going without a fight!" Shouts Cory. "Not you again!" Whines Jess. "What are you doing here?!?" Asks Jin.I hear nothing from Ty or Autumn. The men start dragging me off. I struggle to no avail. "Autumn and Ty's getting away!" I hear one of the men shout. They left without us? After I thought we could trust them. One of the men who where dragging me start running off. He pulls me downstairs and ties me up with the rest of my friends before running off after Ty. "I thought we could trust them!" Says Max. Suddenly down the stairs comes Ty and thought the door comes Autumn. "I thought you abandoned us!" I exclaim. "Nope, just borrowed Cory's powers!" Says Ty grinning as he creates a clone of himself next to him. A man emerges from the dark and quickly knocks Them out. "Ty!" I shout trying to jump up. The man only smiles at me, turning to face away from us, waiting for his colleagues. I look over and see Jin with a concentrated look on his face. On a table I see a convenient frying pan slowly moving. It slips off the edge of the table and barley stops from hitting the floor. Suddenly it flys in the direction of the man. With sharp reflexes, he catches it in mid air. "Come on!" Shouts Jin. The man smirks at us before pulling out what looks like a grenade and pulling the pin. I see a gas start to seep out of it, knocking us all out in seconds.
