Chapter 14

Oh Boy...

I sighed as the airport came into view, grabbing my bag and exiting the car. So many thoughts were running through my head that I just tried shutting them all out. As we approached the arriving passengers my heart rate immediately doubled and being in that situation made me re-think about all the feelings I had towards Sean. I shook away those thoughts too. I'd made the right decision. Since Logan was actually my mate, I'd probably forget Sean in time though I doubt it would have worked the other way around which would have negative effects on all three of us, plus, I really didn't want to experience the scene of an angry, blood-thirsty Alpha. Sean was strong and all but you could immediately feel the difference in strength when next to Logan.

"Calm down. You don't have to be this nervous," I heard Logan say.

"What?"

"Ash, I can hear your heartbeat racing from here," he smiled. I let out a breath, trying to relax though when I did, Sean came into view, two heavy-looking bags in either of hands and that was when my heart fastened again. He had a broad smile on his face as he came towards me, though as he got closer, the smile turned into a frown. Oh boy...I knew he could tell something was off but I don't think he realized it completely or perhaps he did, he just didn't believe his presumptions were true.

"Who's this?" he asked. His voice wasn't angry, just confused as hell and I severely doubted how long he could restrain it.

"This is Logan, Alpha of the Blakewood pack," Logan offered his hand but Sean refused to shake it and just glared at him with dark eyes. So far so good...Logan wrapped his arm around my waist, getting a clear and deep growl out of Sean as he looked at us with deadly eyes. Logan seemed unfazed by this but replied with a deeper growl in return. Seeing as Sean didn't look like he wanted to understand what happened, Logan immediately dropped the friendly, co-operating facade, ready to fight for what was his. I placed my hand on Logan's chest and he stopped growling. To be honest, I loved the effect I had on him already.

"Not here, people are starting to look at us," I said, looking around to see everyone look at us curiously. People should just mind their own business.

"No, we'll settle this here! What the hell is this?" Sean asked angrily, pointing to Logan as he stepped closer to him.

"She's my mate, just back off!" Logan replied, stepping closer too. Apart from the advantage of strenght he was also taller than him but even though I'd side with Logan, no matter what, I wasn't about to let them fight over me.

"I've marked her! She's mine, not yours! You can't just swoop in and take her away from me!"

"We were going to try to reason this out with you. Ashley seems to think that you'd understand what happened, we have no control over this! But apparently, you're not as open-minded as she thought you were,"

"Open-minded? Are you kidding me? Would you be open-minded if I took her from you?" Sean laughed humorously, earning a deadly growl from Logan. Sean's pack members noticed something was going on and quickly stepped to Sean's side. I definitely didn't want this to get ugly, especially in front of tons of people.

"I'll talk to him, can you just wait in the car for me please?" I asked Logan with pleading eyes. He glared at Sean but nodded.

"Already whipped, huh?" Sean asked loudly, gaining more of poeple's attention. Logan shook his head but as he turned to leave, the grabbed me by the waist and kissed me roughly on the lips and made sure that Sean was looking right at us. I guess he got what he wanted because Sean lunged at him, dropping him to the ground. Though Logan immediately pushed Sean off and punched him in the face.

"Stop!" I shouted, moving behind Logan, grabbing his arm and pulling him off of Sean. Thank God I was a werewolf, otherwise Logan wouldn't have even budged. The members of Sean's pack quickly grabbed him too, to avoid any further fights and damage. I was thankful that they chose to keep Sean away, rather than join him in attacking Logan. They seemed to have said something to Sean lowly as he calmed down slightly. He pushed them off of him and dusted his shoulders, fixing his sleeves. It was then that I noticed the impact of the punch. His skin was already turning into a dark purple shade. I was getting tired of this to-and-fro.

"Sean, please you don't have to..." Sean cut me off.

"Just shut up, Ashley! I leave for a few weeks and I come back to find you with someone else? And there I was, thinking that we'd established a relationship! That I was actually in love with you! And this is what I get?"

"I loved you too, Sean but I had no control over this. For God's sake, I thought you were my mate!"

"Loved? Already movin' on, huh?" he chuckled.

"You know how I feel about you, Sean," I said.

"Well, well, looks like you only got her because 'Fate' was on your side," he told Logan,"But that doesn't mean I'm giving up on her,"

"If you put your filthy hands on her, I'll rip you apart," I winced at Logan's choice of words. This was going very smoothly.

"I'd like to see you try. You know, why don't we just settle this in a match?"

"What?" I asked loudly. He wasn't actually thinking about this!

"Sean, come on. Don't be stupid!" One of his friends said, looking at Logan.

"Stay out of this!" Sean growled.

"He's right. Come on, man. You don't stand a chance, don't waste your life over something stupid. We'll talk this out!"

"Nice to know how much fate you have in me, Jett," Sean replied darkly.

"You aren't thinking straight about this, Sean," I told him carefully.

"Let him do as he pleases! You want a match, you'll get one," Logan replied, crossing his arms over his broad chest. I glared at him, he wasn't even trying to fix this.

"Great, Friday at 6.30,"

"Looking forward to it," Logan smirked at him before his friends pulled Sean away, angrily muttering  words to him but he just shrugged his shoulders and shook them off. I shook my head.

"Happy now?" I told Logan angrily, walking out of the airport.
