Chapter 14:

The next day Dagur's mother woke me up at sun rise. Dagur was asleep and had his arms around me, so it was a challenge to get out of bed. Once I did I got dressed and walked down stairs to start my lessons. She first thought me to make breakfast. It was fairly easy cause I knew most of it from Berk. But she had her own weird ways of doing thing in the kitchen. When breakfast was done I set the table using her instructions. The berserkers had some really strange ways of doing things, causing me to learn way more then I thought. When everything was set I walked back into the kitchen.

"Everything is ready to go! I'm starved!" I said as we both walked into the dinning room.

"A wife does not eat until her husband and children are seated and served." She said stopping me from going to sit down.

"Oh.... um... ok." I said and we waited as Dagur came down the stairs.

"Wow it looks great!!" He said and he sat down and I started to serve him. He smiled at me and I returned it, setting his full plate down in front of him. He licked his lips and started to eat. Then we started to serve ourselves.

"What do you have planed for today ladies?" He asked after taking a sip of his drink.

"Continuing our lessons."his mother said and his smiled.

"Good, I'm happy you two are finally getting alone." He said and finished his breakfast.

"Do you have any plans for today Dagur?" I asked and his mother gave me a glare.

"Many, actually, I hope I can get all of it done to day." He said as he got up, "but I will be home for lunch and dinner."

"Be safe and good luck." I said and he nodded.

"I'll see you ladies soon." He said and with that he left. His mother started to clean up  the table and I did the same. When we finished she then thought me how to do chores around the house like cleaning the floor and walls, getting stains out of rugs and such. She did so much during the day how she took care of her children was a mystery to me. But through all the cleaning my mind couldn't help but think of Berk and hiccup. I missed them and I hope he was doing much better then me. In a few month I am to accompany Dagur to Berk for a peace treaty or something of that sort. I'm so excited that I count the days till I get to see him.  As I'm so deep in my thoughts Dagur's mother had gone outside to talk to a visitor, a capped man who had asked to see the new wife of Dagur the deranged.  Dagur doesn't want me to have visitor with out his permission so his mother told the man to leave, and to only come back with a proper invitation from Dagur. I wonder who that could have been. We took a break from cleaning to make lunch and when Dagur come he grabbed his food and left. He barely stayed to say hello. After we ate we continued the lessons. More cleaning, then sewing, and then she taught me cooking and such in the kitchen as we prepped for dinner. When dinner was ready we waited for Dagur and when he came home he took off his boots and sat down with a sigh. I started to serve him and gave him a smile. He then stopped me by grabbing my wrist.

"We need to talk after dinner privately." He said through his teeth.

"Yes Dagur, Of course." I said and he let me go. I finished serving him and set his plate down then I served his mother, then myself. We ate in silence and his mother and I looked at each other with concern then at Dagur. He started at his plate as he ate. He was angry and knew it had to do with something. Maybe the talk we are to have will be a really bad one. When we finished I began to clean the table while his mother when into the kitchen to do the dishes.

"Sarah, up stairs now." He said through his teeth as he pointed to the stairs. He glared at me and I knew I was in trouble.

"Yes Dagur." I said putting the plate of food down and walking up the stairs to our room. He follow quickly behind and when we were both inside he closed and locked the door.
