Chapter 24
"Oh my god!" I shrieked, burying my face into his stomach. I felt the vibrations in his chest which meant he was laughing.
"Stop laughing at me!" I surfaced for a second, only to see the television. "Eww! That's disgusting!" I yelled, diving back to the comforts of his warm hoodie.
"You don't like the movie?" He asked in mock surprise.
"Shut up Devon." I mumbled, my face still pressed into his sweater.
When he said he was coming over, I was okay with that. When he said we were watching a movie, I was okay with that. What I wasn't okay with, however, was his movie choice. Screams erupted from the speakers.
He thought it would be funny to watch "The Human Centipede."
Who the hell even thinks of this crap? Apparently it's about some guy who makes a human centipede by gluing peoples faces to other peoples butts...? Anyways, I wouldn't know since I've been hiding in the safe confines of Devons stomach.
He's got a pretty nice stomach.
"You think I have a nice stomach?" Devon looked at me amusedly. A blush quickly spread it's way across my face.
"Did I say that out loud?" I asked meekly.
"Yeah." He chuckled.
"Oops." I patted his stomach affectionately. "But yes, you have a very nice stomach." I said honestly. This time it was his turn to be embarrassed.
"Don't be embarassed, girls like that in a guy." I smiled up at him.
"Oh. Right." He said, coughing uncomfortably and shifting on the couch.
I looked back to the screen in disgust.
"Don't tell me you actually like this." I said, pulling a face. I mean, he doesn't really give off the psycho-maniac vibe. A laugh escaped his mouth yet again.
"No!" He cried defensively.
"Then why the hell are we watching it?" I threw my hands up in desperation.
"I just wanted to see your reaction!" He said through his laughter.
"You put me through all that torture just to see my reaction?" I spluttered. He smirked.
"Now now, I wouldn't call it torture. You seemed to have enjoyed yourself. Afterall, I've got a nice stomach right?" He winked. A blush spread its way furiously across my cheeks.
"Well I'm sorry if you have the abs of a god! It's not my fault!" I huffed, crossing my arms and pouting. His arm reached around and pulled me closer. Somthing stirred in the pit of my stomach.
Oh my god, I think those are "butterflies"!
"Kayla, you're just digging yourself a deeper grave here" Devon grinned. It wasn't his usual smirk, but a genuine smile. "I've went from having a nice stomach to have the abs of a god."
"I'm serious!" I prostested, poking his stomach. "What do you have, an eight pack?" I asked in wonder.
"Yeah." He said proudly. "Wanna see?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
